Corrections

Reading sources closely means finding mistakes - in them, and in our own earlier work. This is the record.

We publish 112 corrections here. Each one names the venue it affected, what the page used to say, and what it says now. Entries are never edited after the fact: a later correction to a correction is added as its own entry, which is why some of these reverse an earlier one.

Found something we still have wrong? Use the “See something inaccurate?” link on any team page, or email us. Our methodology explains how a fact gets checked in the first place.

We got it wrong102
We published something inaccurate and fixed it.
The world changed5
The fact was right when we checked it and is not right now.
The source was inconsistent2
An official source contradicted itself or priced something it does not publish as a rate.
We were wrong about being wrong3
We reported a problem that turned out not to be one, and reversed ourselves.

Levi's Stadium: parking prices were never checked against a published rate

    Levi's Stadium

    What we published

The parking prices were stamped as checked against a reference table, and the page listed them among the figures that had been checked.

    What changed

The stadium's parking pages say the lots are cashless and that prepaid passes are recommended, and give no rate for any lot. The prices are unchanged, because nothing published contradicts them, but the stamp now records that they were never checked, and the parking page lists them under the figures that have not been checked against a published source.

    What we published

The parking prices were stamped as checked against a reference table, and the page listed them among the figures that had been checked.

    What changed

The Bears' guide says the lots around the stadium need a prepaid pass and open four hours before kickoff, and gives no rate; the Grant Park and Millennium garages charge their posted daily rate, which the guide does not state. What we published

The parking prices were stamped as checked against a reference table, and the page listed them among the figures that had been checked.

    What changed

The only readable page is the city's, from September 2024, which prices the municipal lot at $40 a space; the stadium's own parking pages could not be read. A two-year-old city figure is not a check of a stadium-lot price. The prices are unchanged, because nothing published contradicts them, but the stamp now records that they were never checked, and the parking page lists them under the figures that have not been checked against a published source.

    What changed

    What changed

Highmark Stadium: official parking was never $40 to $50

    Highmark Stadium

    What we published

The parking guide said official lots run about $40 to $50, and the price section was stamped as checked against the Bills’ own parking page.

    What changed

That page publishes no rates at all: every pass is sold in advance at a per-game price, and season passes sold out before the opening game. The Buffalo News reported the new rates at about 50% above the old stadium’s, 2026 resale floors ran $75 to $139 by opponent, and an August 2026 Action Network study put the average for a stadium-owned lot at $132 a game. The stored figures were pre-season guesses from third-party guides, below what the old stadium charged in 2025. They are now marked as estimates, which keeps them out of the rankings and the structured data, the prose says what the season’s evidence says, and the stamp records that the prices were never checked.

    What we published

We priced and recommended a bikeshare, three shuttles and two rail services as ways to reach six venues.

    What changed

All six were removed rather than re-priced, because re-pricing a service that does not run makes a dead entry look freshly checked. CoGo Bikeshare (Columbus) ceased in spring 2025 and its domain no longer resolves; the Royals Express shuttle ended in 2009 when federal charter rules changed; the Brewers Line was discontinued in 2022; the DC Circulator's domain returns NXDOMAIN; Northstar ran its last train on 4 January 2026; and the Caniac Coach ceased in 2022-23.

Neither the stadium nor CATS publishes such a shuttle. The venue's Park & Ride is included in the rail fare already, so the entry was charging a second time for a ride the rail ticket covers. Removed.

  97. The world changed

Three transit stops were listed under names their operators had retired

    What we published

Our transit entries named "Stonewall Station" in Charlotte, "Pepsi Center Station" in Denver, and "AT&T Station" in Philadelphia.

    What changed

CATS renamed Stonewall to Brooklyn Village; the Denver stop follows Ball Arena; and SEPTA now calls the Philadelphia stop NRG. All three were renamed, and the sentence beneath each name was rewritten to match - a rename without it publishes a line that contradicts its own heading.

  98. We got it wrong

We recommended a free streetcar to a ballpark it does not reach

    Kauffman Stadium

    What we published

The KC Streetcar at $0, which our own tooling then selected as the cheapest way to reach Kauffman Stadium without a car.

    What changed

Our own stored description for that entry said the streetcar does not reach the stadium. Two fields in one file disagreed, and the cheaper one won. Removed.

  99. We got it wrong

Two ballpark seat map links had been returning 404 behind a passing test

    What we published

Official seat map links for Angel Stadium and Tropicana Field.

    What changed

Both URLs 404. Our test only checked that a link was present, not that it resolved, so they sat there for months. Both were removed rather than repointed: we publish these as "Official seat map", and aiming that at an arena guide or a ticket index makes the site assert something untrue instead of saying nothing.

  100. We got it wrong

Twenty-seven of thirty ballparks priced food the venue does not sell

    What we published

Our comparison baskets named specific dishes - among them toasted ravioli at Busch Stadium and a Biker Jim's sausage at Coors Field - and attached prices to them.

    What changed

The menu research found that 27 of 30 MLB venues were pricing items their concessions do not carry. Basket entries can now be renamed to a dish the venue actually sells. A patch that only corrects names records no new verification date, because naming a dish checks no price.

  101. The source was inconsistent

A parking price we publish as a rate is really a demand-priced range

    Coors Field

    What we published

A $15 LoDo parking figure, presented like a published rate.

    What changed

Those lots are demand-priced: the operator's own listing ran $7.99 to $37.01 for a single game. The figure is now flagged as an estimate, which keeps it out of the headline "cheapest parking" number and out of the structured data that would otherwise call it a published rate.

  102. We got it wrong

The Dawg Pound was listed on the wrong side of the stadium

    Huntington Bank Field

    What we published

Our seating guide placed the Dawg Pound at sections 106-115.

    What changed

The Dawg Pound is sections 118-122, in the east end zone. Sections 106-115 are Premium Terrace seats on the opposite sideline, per the Browns' own clubs page.

  103. The world changed

A ticket tier still named a ballpark that was renamed in 2020

    Truist Park

    What we published

A premium tier called "Infiniti Club / SunTrust Suites".

    What changed

SunTrust Park became Truist Park in 2020, and our own venue name already said Truist - so the tier contradicted the file it sat in. Renamed to "Infiniti Club / Premium Suites": a neutral descriptor rather than a guessed sponsor, because none of the Braves' current hospitality spaces is obviously this tier's successor.

    Source: Atlanta Braves hospitality

  104. The world changed

A Madison Square Garden tier carried a lapsed sponsor name

    Madison Square Garden

    What we published

A ticket tier named "Upper Level (400-Level Chase Bridge/Balcony)", after a sponsor whose naming rights had ended.

    What changed

The Bridge is now the Hyundai Bridge. The tier was renamed; its price was left alone, because renaming a seat does not re-check what it costs.

  105. We were wrong about being wrong

We reported Oracle Park's tier names as wrong. They were not.

    Oracle Park

    What we published

We recorded that our stored tiers said "Club Level (200-Level)" and "View Reserved (300-Level)" where the Giants call those Level 3 and Level 5.

    What changed

Both are true and neither is drift. The Giants' level numbers count the building's floors; the stored suffixes describe the section numbers, which really are the 200s and 300s. Changing them would have replaced one correct label with another and broken the match with every resale listing. Finding withdrawn, nothing changed.

Source: San Francisco Giants services and locations

  106. We were wrong about being wrong

A TD Garden finding was half right, and the half that was wrong was withdrawn

    TD Garden

    What we published

We recorded that TD Garden's stored tiers used 100/200/300 numbering the arena does not use.

    What changed

Too broad. The Balcony's sections really are 301-330, so "Upper Balcony (300-Level)" is correct section shorthand. Only the Loge survived the check as wrong: TD Garden's Loge is Level 4, sections 1-21.

  107. We got it wrong

Thirty-six venues printed two different gate opening times on one page

    What we published

A gate time in the game day timeline and a second one in the quick answers, a few hundred pixels apart, disagreeing on 36 venues.

    What changed

The timeline figure came from a lookup table that left the gate time unset on 98 of its 111 entries and fell back to a per-league default - "1 hour before tip-off" for every NBA arena - then recorded the venue as checked. Two dozen of those arenas publish 90 minutes on their own pages and four ballparks publish two hours. Gate times now come from each venue's own published policy, and are written only where the two agree. The 16 venues where they cannot be reconciled are named rather than counted: eight publish no gate policy at all, and eight publish "varies by event".

  108. We were wrong about being wrong

We blamed a venue's website for a certificate error that was our own bad URL

    Benchmark International Arena

    What we published

We recorded amaliearena.com as unreachable with an expired certificate, and deferred the research.

    What changed

That domain is not the one our data uses and never was - the file has carried benchmarkintlarena.com throughout. The blocker was a URL taken from memory rather than read from the record. Withdrawn, and the venue was researched normally.

  109. We got it wrong

One arena's directions had been written for a team that plays somewhere else

    Intuit Dome

    What we published

Directions describing Crypto.com Arena on a page about the Clippers.

    What changed

The Clippers moved to Intuit Dome. The prose was written for the wrong building. Shared text across venues is now flagged automatically unless the venue name matches, which is what caught it.

  110. The source was inconsistent

One arena published two different prohibited-items lists on the same day

    Ball Arena

    What we published

Ball Arena's prohibited items reached our Nuggets page with noisemakers on the list and our Avalanche page without - from the same URL, read the same day.

    What changed

Two tenants of one building reading one page about that building must publish one summary. Shared-venue summaries are now compared automatically wherever the source URL matches and the topic belongs to the building rather than the club.

  111. We got it wrong

Forty-five venues stored two different prices for the same parking lot

    What we published

Lot prices were held in two places - a cost summary and a lot list with distances - and they disagreed at 45 of 124 venues.

    What changed

The two arrays describe the same lots and now must agree. A name-blind comparison of the whole price set catches the pairs a name match cannot see. Four venues are recorded as legitimately different in shape - a lot list finer-grained than the cost categories, with every price matching - and nothing else may differ.

  112. We got it wrong

Our tailgating guides covered 92 venues where nobody tailgates

    What we published

Every venue carried a section called Tailgating, including TD Garden - whose own overview opens by saying there is no traditional parking-lot tailgating there, under a banner reading Tailgating Guide.

    What changed

Ninety-two of the 124 venues hold no tailgate. The NFL keeps the word; the other three leagues now publish a Pregame Guide, and whether a venue tailgates is recorded per venue rather than assumed per league - so a suburban ballpark that really does tailgate still gets one.
