What to Expect
Prudential Center sits in downtown Newark, a short train ride from Manhattan. The arena is modern, intimate, and designed for hockey, the sightlines are excellent from every seat. The Devils fan base is passionate and knowledgeable, and the building has a legitimate hockey atmosphere despite competing in the NYC market. Newark's Ironbound district, one of the best Portuguese and Spanish neighborhoods in America, is a 10-minute walk for pregame dining. Games run about 2.5 hours in regulation.

299 Mulberry St is a great parking lot. A few blocks away from the Prudential Center and way less hassle than the garages right next to the arena.
Park in the Edison ParkEast deck between Commerce St and Raymond Blvd - two short blocks from the arena. Do a lap or two around the concourse after the game and traffic will be much better by the time you leave.
Follow the red jerseys or signs for the Gateway. Hang out on Edison by the bars where there will be lots of people. Pro tip - bring a few beers with you if that is your thing and save your cash for inside.
From 33rd Street allow 40 minutes and a change at Journal Square; the World Trade Center is a direct 25.
A 12 by 14 inch bag is fine here, which is generous — but a backpack of any size is refused, so shape matters more than volume.
The arena also hosts Seton Hall basketball, so a listing or seating chart you find may describe the basketball configuration rather than the hockey one.
For hockey the mezzanine shows you more of the game than the glass does, at a fraction of the price.
PATH runs 24 hours, so a late finish is never a problem getting back to Manhattan or Hoboken.
Nine highways feed the arena, so it is one of the easier venues in the league to reach by car.
The Lofts are the one the arena describes as carrying all-inclusive dining.
