What to Expect
Lucas Oil Stadium sits in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, making it one of the most accessible stadiums in the NFL. The retractable roof means the game environment is always comfortable, climate-controlled when closed, open-air when Indianapolis's weather cooperates. The Colts' game-day experience blends Midwest hospitality with genuine football passion. The Peyton Manning statue, Blue the mascot's antics, and the anvil-striking ceremony that kicks off every game create a unique atmosphere. Indianapolis's compact, walkable downtown means fans can pregame on Georgia Street, walk to the stadium via the skywalk, and never set foot outside in January.

Tips & Fan Reports
Check out American Family Touchdown Town at the north end of the stadium before the game - $3 beers, food stands, pro shop, and Colts in Motion. Family friendly but has drinks too.
Shapiro's Delicatessen is a must. $20 to park there gets you a $10 off coupon for food. The line was long but moved at a decent pace. Get there by 10 or 11.
Park at garages near Circle Centre Mall - only a few blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium and gives you options to eat downtown before the game.
Dome stadiums rarely have bad seats. Go up to the 600 level at the north end (escalator) and you can overlook the city and Touchdown Town. Even the side stands have better food than the main concession.
Some lots near the stadium give $10 off food coupon with $20 parking. Best food in Indy and you're fueled up before you even walk in.
The Arby's parking lot behind the restaurant is where all the longtime tailgaters set up plus some big buses and RVs. It is the closest thing to a real tailgate scene near Lucas Oil.
Do not save a space for a friend. It is the one tailgating rule the club states outright.
The Rolls Royce and Government garages are the covered Colts-controlled options if the forecast is poor.
The Quarterback Suite is the only all-inclusive space in the building, and it is a 200-person community suite rather than a private one.
The Street Level is the level you walk in on and holds over 26,000 seats, so a lower-bowl ticket here involves no climbing.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.

Current Colts A-Z, food, family, cashless, mobile-ticketing, and 2026 stadium guidance reviewed for all structured venue-policy topics.
Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the A-Z guide names Denison Parking's 2,000 spaces and a ParkWhiz reservation link, with no figure. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Lucas Oil Stadium 2026: South Lot $30-$50 for Colts games, walk-up $40-$60; lots operated by Denison Parking").
