What to Expect

Delta Center sits on the west side of downtown Salt Lake City, near the Gateway outdoor shopping center and within view of the Wasatch Mountains. The Jazz have a passionate, loyal fanbase that fills the arena consistently. SLC's food and bar scene has grown substantially, and the pregame experience centers on the Gateway restaurants and Main Street bars. Plan to arrive 60-90 minutes early. Note: Utah's alcohol laws are unique, beer at the arena is 5% ABV (full strength) but some bars have specific rules.

Tips & Fan Reports

There is a TRAX light rail station right next to the Delta Center main entrance. Ride the train and skip the parking headache entirely. Plenty of hotels within walking distance too.

TRAXriderSLC

The seating is really vertical at Delta Center so you can see the whole court even from the nosebleeds. Don't stress about getting expensive seats - the view is good from everywhere.

SLCjazzFan

Cashless venue and some food ordering goes through the app. Doors open at 5:30 PM for a 7 PM tipoff. The arena food has decent options but nothing amazing.

DeltaCenterFood

Arena food is genuinely affordable, one of the best values in the NBA.

VYT Research

Seven clubs serve the building — Delta Sky360, Entrata, Black Desert, Interform, Toyota, Gallagher and the Aptive Lofts — and open bars vary between them, so the inclusions are not uniform.

VYT Research

Delta Center's seats physically move between sports. A new seating system installed in the renovation handles a nearly 12-foot difference in elevation between the rink endline and the court endline, so a section's position is not the same for hockey as for basketball.

VYT Research

TRAX is free within the Free Fare Downtown Zone, which reaches the arena, so the train costs nothing.

VYT Research

The clutch limit is 4 by 6 by 2 inches, which is smaller than most phones-plus-wallet combinations. Travel with nothing if you can.

VYT Research

A permitted diaper or medical bag has to enter at Door 5 — it is the only door with an X-ray.

VYT Research

TRAX runs to and from all arena events, so a late finish is covered.

These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.

  • Ticket prices — Secondary market averages (SeatGeek/StubHub)
  • Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the page maps the nearby lots and prices none of them. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Delta Center 2026: official lots and surrounding garages $10-$30, prepaid online for the closest").
