What to Expect
KeyBank Center sits on Buffalo's revitalized waterfront at Canalside, surrounded by breweries, restaurants, and the frozen harbor. The Sabres pregame scene centers on the Chippewa Street bar district and the waterfront restaurants within walking distance. Buffalo is one of the most affordable NHL cities, tickets, food, and parking are a fraction of what you'd pay in Toronto or New York. Plan to arrive 60–90 minutes early. The arena runs cold near the ice, and Buffalo winters are no joke. Dress for the walk.

Tips & Fan Reports
I like the uppermost row of the 100s on the side where the Sabres shoot twice. Great view of the ice and you are close to concessions. Union Pub nearby has good wings and decent prices before the game.
Nothing super exciting inside KeyBank Center except the Aud Club bar which is original from the old arena. The Sabres store is fully stocked if you need merch.
Eat wings at Union Pub before the game - decent place with okay prices and walking distance from KeyBank Center. The in-arena food is nothing special.
A 4 by 6 by 1.5 inch clutch is the only bag admitted without a medical or diaper exception.
Full-access doors open 90 minutes before a Sabres game.
From the south, east or west it is the Thruway to Exit 53 for I-190 north first.
Exit 6 for Elm Street is the alternative from either direction, via Seneca and Michigan over the bridge.
The arena names no Metro Rail station; plan that leg from NFTA's own map.
Metro Rail is free above ground through downtown Buffalo — check nfta.com for where charges start.
LECOM Harborcenter next door is the overflow when the arena's own parking fills.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Venue facts
Wikipedia / Official Venue Page
- Venue policies
Current Buffalo Sabres A-Z, game-day, mobile-ticketing, ticket-terms, and KeyBank Center parking pages reviewed for Sabres policies.
Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Ticket prices — Secondary market averages (SeatGeek/StubHub)
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the ramp, the surface lots and LECOM Harborcenter are cashless and unpriced. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "KeyBank Center 2026: downtown lots $5-$20 per event with most starting around $10, among the cheapest in the league").
