What to Expect

MetLife Stadium sits in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from New York City. On Jets game days, the stadium transforms into a sea of green and white. The Jets share MetLife with the Giants, but the atmosphere couldn't be more different: Jets fans bring a blue-collar, underdog energy that's part pride, part frustration, and entirely authentic. The tailgating scene is massive, the New York attitude is real, and the J-E-T-S chant echoes through the parking lots hours before kickoff.

Tips & Fan Reports

Season ticket holder since MetLife opened. Park where you can easily exit rather than walking farther. Also take a picture of your lot letter/number because you will come out a different exit after the game.

JetsSTH

There is an Uber drop off at the mall parking lot. You can take a foot bridge directly to the stadium from there and it is much easier than the MetLife lots or the awful train shuttle to Secaucus.

MallDropOff

Get the parking pass, show up early with a grill and enjoy the morning cooking out in the lot. Or stay overnight and use the Hilton shuttle option.

JETS_JETS_JETS

Check out the Italian delis in Carlstadt or East Rutherford about 5 minutes from the stadium. The kind where you can not even order an Italian sub because it is not a real Italian sandwich. Worth it.

NJdeliFan

Bring your own food and drinks and hang out in the parking lot pregame. The food inside MetLife is not great but they have beer.

EastRutherford

Arrive EARLY - especially for Week 1 it will be packed. Better to chill in your car or outside with food and beers than fight for a spot at kickoff.

MetLifeVet

If you want to grill, do not park in a deck — grills and heaters are banned in all of them.

VYT Research

The stadium is open-air with no cover over any seating level. The 300 level takes the weather first.

VYT Research

MetLife has five premium clubs — the EY Coaches Club, Corona Beach Club, Miller Lite MVP Club, Moody's Commissioners Club and MetLife 50 Club — sharing over 130,000 square feet and more than 10,000 club seats.

A vehicle over 18 feet long or 8 feet wide cannot use a lined space, so an RV or long van needs a different plan entirely.

These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.

  • Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the only figure is the $65 off-site lot for guests without a prepaid permit; on-site Gold and Platinum permit prices are not published. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "MetLife Stadium 2026 NFL lots $25-$60, open five hours before kickoff (World Cup matches use separate arrangements and are excluded)").
