What to Expect
Levi's Stadium sits in the heart of Santa Clara's Silicon Valley, about 45 miles south of San Francisco. Opened in 2014, it's a modern, tech-forward venue that reflects its surroundings with a dedicated stadium app, high-speed Wi-Fi, and mobile ordering. The open-air design means you're exposed to the pleasant Northern California weather, warm sun for early-season afternoon games and cool evenings in December. The 49ers' passionate fanbase fills the stadium with red and gold, continuing a tradition that dates back to the dynasty years at Candlestick Park. The adjacent area features limited pregame options compared to urban stadiums, but the tailgating culture in the lots is strong and the garlic fries are famous nationwide.

Take Caltrain to Mountain View and then the VTA rail directly to Levi's Stadium. Or take BART to Milpitas and transfer to the rail. Way better than driving and fighting for parking.
Blue Lot 1 and Green Lot 1 are the best tailgating at Levi's. Green Lot 1 near poles 13/15 is livelier. Park somewhere close to the porta potties because lines can get really long.
Be there early - arrive at least 15-30 minutes before parking opens and wait in line. Traffic gets brutal even if you're early. Save yourself the headache.
Don't buy food inside Levi's - it's overpriced for what you get. Use a clear vinyl backpack and empty your pockets before going through security. Take the VTA light rail if you can.
Parking lots and tailgating don't open until 3.5 hours before kickoff. Set a hard time for when you need to break down the tailgate to make it in by kickoff and do not deviate from it.
You'll end up watching the big screen more than the field even from lower level seats - that's just how Levi's is built. Don't stress about getting the closest section.
The lower bowl holds more than 45,000 — the largest in the NFL — so a 100-level ticket here is a bigger share of the building than the price suggests.
VTA buses drop at Tasman Drive and Great America Parkway, and at Tasman Drive and Calle Del Sol.
The two BNY Mellon Clubs sit at field level behind each sideline and carry player access during 49ers games.
Measure the canopy at 8 by 8 feet, and check the vehicle — over 18 feet long or 8 wide and a lined space is not available to you.
