What to Expect
MetLife Stadium sits in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from New York City. On Giants game days, the stadium transforms into a sea of blue, red, and white. The Giants share MetLife with the Jets, but Giants game days have a distinctly different feel: more traditional, more family-oriented, and rooted in one of the NFL's oldest and most storied franchises. Multi-generational families who have held season tickets since the old Giants Stadium days form the backbone of the fanbase. The tailgating is spirited but measured, the crowd is knowledgeable, and the expectation level is high. This is a franchise with four Super Bowl titles.

Buy your parking pass online on Ticketmaster - Gold or Platinum only. Do NOT buy on StubHub, they will sell you a shuttle pass from some bar outside the stadium and you will have to fight for a refund.
Season ticket holder for 12 years. Best thing to do is have a great tailgate outside, go in full because the food is meh. Prepare for a 30-minute walk from the lot to your seats.
Bring your own food and drinks for the parking lot pregame. Sandwiches, a cooler of beer - that's how most MetLife regulars do it. Stadium food is overpriced and mediocre.
Allow enough time to park, set up your grill (charcoal takes longer than propane), cook and pack so you can get through security and in your seats before kickoff. Lots open 5 hours before kickoff.
We used to park and tailgate but switched to taking the NJ Transit shuttle - it's a lot more fun and you don't have to deal with the parking lot exodus after the game.
Park further from the stadium if you want an easier time leaving. Same price to park in the garage but no tailgating is allowed in the garage and you miss the whole pregame vibe.
A vehicle over 18 feet long or 8 feet wide cannot use a lined space, so an RV or long van needs a different plan entirely.
Trains keep running a couple of hours after the event, so a slow exit is covered.
Measure the canopy: 8 by 8 feet is the cap, smaller than the 10 by 10 most stadiums allow.
Suites here run 12 to 30 seats and sit on four different levels, so 'suite' covers a wide range of heights and prices.
