What to Expect
The American Airlines Center sits in the Victory Park development on the western edge of downtown Dallas. The area has transformed into a mixed-use district with restaurants, bars, and residential towers surrounding the arena. The Stars' fan base has grown significantly, Dallas embraced hockey after the 1999 Stanley Cup and the recent playoff runs have packed the building. Texas hospitality extends to hockey. Expect a warm, energetic crowd. Games run 2-2.5 hours in regulation.

Tips & Fan Reports
Park at Market Center and take the DART one stop to Victory Station right outside AAC. Can take either the Green or Orange line. Super easy and saves you $40 on parking.
First couple rows of the terrace level in corner sections 303-305 and 331-333 are the best value in the building. Specifically the rows that start with double letters like AA, BB. As close as you can get in the terrace.
Enjoy a pregame meal and drinks at The Henry across the street then leave yourself some time to hang around out front of AAC to take in the sights and atmosphere before heading inside.
F-Lot needs no pass at all and takes a card at the gate, which is the simplest option if nothing was booked.
The Platinum level carries five bars and restaurants: The Wine Press, The Zone, The Platinum Club, El Taco Tex and DBQ Barbecue.
Platinum Premier includes parking, in-seat wait service and a $30 per-ticket food and beverage credit, which closes much of the gap to a cheaper seat plus costs.
Lots open two hours before the event, not the four or five a stadium would give you.
Admiral Theater Boxes and the Platinum Premier Plus plan both cover Stars AND Mavericks games — 86 games on the full plan, plus concerts.
Some Red and Blue Line trains run straight through to Victory just before events, saving the West End change.
There is no tailgate to plan here — grilling, open flames, food preparation and alcohol are all banned in every parking area, at any time.
