What to Expect
Wrigley Field is the second-oldest ballpark in MLB (1914) and arguably the most beloved. It sits in the Wrigleyville neighborhood on the North Side of Chicago, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and the famous rooftop seats on Waveland and Sheffield Avenues. The ivy-covered outfield walls, the hand-turned scoreboard, and the seventh-inning stretch singalong are baseball at its most nostalgic. Wrigleyville on game day is a neighborhood party, Clark Street fills with fans hours before first pitch. Night games were only added in 1988, so daytime baseball at Wrigley remains the iconic experience. Games run about 3 hours.

Get there a few hours early and walk around outside the park. Wrigleyville is beautiful and very safe with plenty of good restaurants, an outdoor venue with free live music, and shops. Murphy's Bleachers is the classic pregame spot.
Definitely take the Wrigley Field tour if available. The tour guides are knowledgeable and show you some cool stuff including the visitors clubhouse. Cubs parking lots do not allow tailgating unfortunately.
Soak it all in. Wrigley is truly the most magical place in baseball. The bleachers are rowdier and more fun. Inside food is meh but the neighborhood has incredible options within a two block walk.
Hard-sided coolers are refused at any size; soft-sided ones under the limit are fine.
The upper deck is unusually close for a 400 level, so an Upper Deck Reserved seat is a genuine alternative to a mid-price ticket rather than a last resort.
The Terrace Level is the one reachable by elevator.
The free remote lot moved to 4650 N. Clarendon Ave this season, with a free shuttle for night and weekend games.
Gates are 90 minutes out on a normal day but two hours for Opening Day and Saturdays.
Yellow Line trains run an hour later on game nights, until midnight from Howard.
Buses #152 Addison and #22 Clark both stop at Clark and Addison, right by the ballpark.

Backpacks, including clear backpacks, are not allowed. Other bags must be smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches and are inspected at entry.
