What to Expect
The Bell Centre is the cathedral of hockey. With 21,105 seats, it's the largest arena in the NHL, and the Canadiens fill it with the most passionate, knowledgeable fans in the sport. Located in downtown Montreal between Rue de la Montagne and Rue de la Gauchetière, the arena is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and the city's famed underground city (RÉSO). Montreal's hockey culture is unmatched, the CH logo is a civic religion. Plan to arrive 60–90 minutes early. The atmosphere builds from the moment you enter the metro.

Go as early as you can and walk every level of the building. It is full of fascinating Canadiens history. The atmosphere at the Bell Centre is something every hockey fan should experience at least once.
Take the metro to Lucien-L'Allier station - there is more signage and a shorter passage to the arena. Bonaventure is closer if you want to enter from outdoors along Avenue des Canadiens and see the statues.
Backpacks are not allowed inside the Bell Centre and there is no bag check. Purses are fine but they will be examined. Plan accordingly.
Event parking opens at noon, long before the 90-minute door, so the garage is not the constraint.
Gare Centrale and Gare Lucien-L'Allier put commuter-rail riders within the same block.
Studded tires are barred year-round, worth knowing in a Montreal winter.
Accessible spaces are on level B, section B113; EV charging terminals are in the garage.
Locketgo lockers in the Lucien l'Allier tunnel take a bag you cannot carry in.
University students can get 400-level seats for $49 at Monday and Tuesday night games, with a water, soft drink or beer included.
Club Desjardins includes all concession food and non-alcoholic beverages in the ticket price, which changes the arithmetic against a cheaper seat plus concessions.
