Our Mission

Visit Your Team helps sports fans plan the perfect game day experience. We cover every NFL stadium, NBA arena, NHL arena, and MLB ballpark - 124 venues across four professional leagues - with venue-specific cost estimates, official policy sources, editorial research, and reviewed community reports.

Our goal is simple: give you everything you need to know before you go, so you can spend less time researching and more time enjoying the game.

Editorial Team & Process

Visit Your Team is written and checked by Kyle Piontek, its editor. The work is reading primary sources: venue guides, parking and seating maps, concession menus, transit agency fare tables, accessibility pages, and club policy pages - then recording what each one said and the day it was read. Questions and corrections reach him directly at hello@visityourteam.com.

That record is published, not just kept. Across 124 venues we carry 2,585 venue policy facts, every one of them citing the official page it came from and the date it was checked, drawn from 1,194 distinct official sources. Each guide ends with a “How We Checked This Page” section listing exactly that, section by section.

We also publish what we could not verify. 1,748 data sections carry a source and a review date; 360 are held as estimates because no venue publishes the underlying figure. Those are labeled as estimates on the page rather than dated as though they had been checked. Software helps us normalize the data and flag contradictions, but a script running is not a fact being verified, and we do not let one stand in for the other.

Reading sources closely means we find errors in them, and in our own earlier work. We keep a public corrections log of what we got wrong, what the source got wrong, and what changed. Community submissions are labeled separately and moderated before publication.

Data Sources & Methodology

Pricing is compiled from publicly available sources and is clearly presented as an estimate unless a venue publishes the exact figure. Prices change by event and may not match the amount charged on your game day.

  • Ticket prices - estimated from average resale market prices across major ticket platforms (SeatGeek, StubHub, Vivid Seats) for regular-season games. These are not face-value prices and fluctuate by game and opponent.
  • Parking costs - sourced from official venue parking pages and maps where available, supplemented by published parking services and clearly labeled estimates.
  • Food & drink prices - compiled from official concession menus, venue announcements, and recent published coverage. Unpublished or variable figures remain estimates.
  • Venue facts and policies - checked against official team, venue, league, transit, and accessibility resources. Source links appear beside researched details.
  • Weather data - historical averages for each venue's location during the corresponding sport's season months.

Prices represent estimated per-person costs for a typical game day experience, not the cheapest possible outing or the most expensive. We aim for the realistic middle - what a regular fan might spend. If you find an error, use the “See something inaccurate?” link on a team page or contact us.

How We Rank Venues

Our ranking pages use a straightforward methodology: total estimated game day cost is the sum of average ticket price + cheapest available parking + average food and drink spending per person. Rankings are recalculated whenever pricing data is updated.

Visit Your Team is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, or any individual team or venue. This never influences our rankings, recommendations, or pricing data.

Data Freshness

Each team guide displays the season it covers and the date its research was last reviewed. Policies and prices can change without notice, so follow the linked official source for time-sensitive decisions. Corrections are reviewed against the best available source.

Community Tips

Fans can share their own tips on any team's sub-pages. All tips are reviewed before publishing. Research notes are labeled “VYT Research”; named community reports retain the contributor's display name.
