What to Expect
Moda Center sits in the Rose Quarter on the east bank of the Willamette River, just across the Steel Bridge from downtown Portland. The Blazers have one of the most loyal fanbases in the NBA, 'Rip City' is a cultural identity, not just a slogan. Portland has sold out nearly every home game for decades. The pregame scene centers on the Lloyd District's food options and Portland's legendary food cart pods. Plan to arrive 60-90 minutes early. Bring a rain jacket, Portland is rainy from October to April.

Tips & Fan Reports
Get the cheapest ticket available. Nobody forces you to sit in your assigned seat. Walk around, watch the game from various hangouts inside the Moda Center, and find a spot by a tunnel near a bathroom.
Walk, take the streetcar, or the MAX light rail to Moda Center. If you must rideshare after the game walk a few blocks away to a less busy area for pickup. Hotels near Moda are walkable.
No backpacks of any type are allowed at Blazers games unless it is one of those mini fashion bags. They are strict about this. Do not bring anything you can not fit in your pockets or a small clutch.
MAX requires a valid fare before boarding — there is no pay-on-board.
Courtside is the only Moda Center ticket that includes parking — one Garden Garage pass per two seats.
Two MAX stations serve the district, one south and one west, so the train is straightforward here.
Doors open 75 minutes before tip-off for regular-season games.
There is a bar on the 300 level now, so the cheap seats no longer mean a trip downstairs.
The East Club Level is the one with floor-to-ceiling windows and a communal lounge rather than rows.
The Garden Garage is attached to the arena itself, and it is the only one that is.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.

Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Ticket prices — Secondary market averages (SeatGeek/StubHub)
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the garages open two hours before, the campus is cashless and passes are sold through JustPark or Ticketmaster, with no figure. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Moda Center 2026: on-site Rose Quarter garage typically $25-$35 for NBA games, $5-$40 across all options").
