What to Expect
Kauffman Stadium, 'The K', sits in the Truman Sports Complex alongside Arrowhead Stadium (Chiefs) about 10 miles east of downtown Kansas City. Opened in 1973, it features the iconic 322-foot-wide water fountain spectacular beyond the outfield wall. The setting is suburban, there's no walkable neighborhood bar scene. Instead, the parking lot tailgate IS the pregame scene. Royals fans are legendary tailgaters, BBQ, beer, and cornhole in the lots are the Kansas City way. Games run about 3 hours.

Tips & Fan Reports
Brisket nachos in the helmet are all around the stadium and are a Kauffman staple. Get there early and walk through the Royals Hall of Fame in left field. The outfield concourse past the fountains is beautiful.
Parking is very easy for Royals games and never really a problem. They allow certain water bottles (plastic and see-through) and there are refill stations inside. Check the website for the exact policy.
The only complication about getting to Kauffman is that it is not near downtown KC. You need to drive or rideshare. But once you are there the parking lot experience is easy and straightforward.
The Loge Level is where the outfield fountains sit best in the frame.
The grass is not parking, however much of it there appears to be.
Crown Club and Diamond Club tickets enter at CommunityAmerica Gate C, the premium entrance, then take the UMB Diamond Club lobby lifts down to Level 1. Arriving at the main gates means a walk around.
Standing room along the outfield concourse is sold during sellouts only.
Parking must be bought in advance and shown on the MLB Ballpark app at the tollgates — have the app installed before you leave.
Keep the drive lanes clear: no tents or equipment in them, which shapes how wide a setup can go.
Kauffman and Arrowhead share the Truman Sports Complex, so check which stadium your lot serves on the parking map.
