What to Expect
U.S. Bank Stadium rises above downtown Minneapolis with its angular, ship-prow design and massive translucent ETFE roof panels that flood the interior with natural light while keeping the environment fully enclosed and climate-controlled. Opened in 2016, it replaced the Metrodome and immediately became one of the most architecturally striking venues in the NFL. Game days in Minneapolis revolve around the SKOL chant, a thunderous, synchronized clapping ritual borrowed from Icelandic soccer that shakes the stadium before kickoff. The Gjallarhorn, a massive Viking horn, blasts before the game begins and after every touchdown. Purple-clad fans create an electric atmosphere inside the dome, and the translucent roof creates a unique natural lighting effect that makes afternoon games feel almost outdoor.

The pregame DJ show gets extremely loud - pack earplugs. The food is solid for stadium food though. Try Kramarczuk's or Revival Chicken - best options in the building by far.
Arrive no less than 2 hours before kickoff. US Bank Stadium opens 2 hours prior and it's worth wandering around when it's less crowded, especially your first time.
Park somewhere else and take the light rail. Closest parking ramps are $10-15. After the game Uber was only $23 including surge.
Not a bad seat in the house. One big difference is being on the main concourse vs the upper concourse. The main concourse has better food options and more variety by far.
Tailgating is only in certain designated parking lots near the stadium. You need a pass but the scene is good. Worst case just park somewhere else, bring a 12-pack and roam the tailgate lots.
There are plenty of options for pregame drinks and food within walking distance of the stadium no matter what the weather. Check the Vikings website for the bag information before you go.
There is no published driving route — follow the signage, which is updated to show which lots have space.
The clubs are stacked in pairs by side: Polaris at field level on the north with Club Gold above it, Medtronic on the south with Sukup above that. Picking a club picks a side.
Polaris Club seats are 41 feet from the sideline — the closest club seats to the field in the NFL.
If the stadium lots are gone, there are over 20,000 spaces between here and Hennepin Avenue, all inside a twenty-minute walk.
