What to Expect
Empower Field at Mile High sits just west of downtown Denver with the Rocky Mountains as a stunning backdrop. At 5,280 feet elevation, the thin air and brilliant Colorado sunshine create a unique game-day atmosphere. The Broncos fanbase, 'Broncos Country', is one of the NFL's most passionate, consistently selling out since 1970. The pregame features Thunder the live mascot (an Arabian horse) galloping through the end zone, the iconic 'Incomplete' chant on third downs, and the Mile High Salute that's been a tradition since the Elway era.

Chant "In-Com-Plete" when the opposing QB throws an incompletion and be loud when the defense is on the field. Those are the only rules at Mile High.
There is a wooden trolley by REI run by a bunch of happy old guys that toots right up to the front entrance of Empower Field. About $8-$10 and super fun. Otherwise just follow the crowds walking from downtown.
Park by Ball Arena and walk over. The earlier the better since it fills up fast. I usually shoot to park an hour before kickoff but 2-3 hours gets you a great spot and plenty of tailgate time.
Mile High Station is great for parking. Get there before early kickoff, $30-40 to park, watch the morning games at the bar. Domestic pitchers are $15 and food is solid.
I prefer the 100s sections if you can afford them. If you go to the south stands make sure you are high enough to see everything. The view from the upper deck corner of the end zone is also solid for cheaper seats.
Stadium food at Empower Field isn't great. Eat before and after the game. Official lots are $20-40 and M lot has space if you arrive a couple hours early.
Accessible parking is sold on the day, first come, first served: $35 in Lot L and $40 in Lots D and G, with a valid state-issued placard or registration. Violators are ticketed and fined.
Federal Boulevard gets very congested pre-game; approach from Colfax Avenue or 17th Avenue for less traffic.
Pre-purchased permits are sold out for 2026. On game day the only general lot is Lot C, $55 by credit card, opening six hours before kickoff; expect it to sell out 30 minutes to an hour after opening.
Ball Arena lots offer a smart alternative when the stadium lots are sold out.
