What to Expect
Rogers Place is the crown jewel of Edmonton's ICE District, a gleaming downtown development that transformed the city's core when it opened in 2016. The Oilers are the heartbeat of Edmonton, and game nights fill the surrounding bars, restaurants, and Ford Hall (the arena's public gathering space) with blue and orange jerseys. The entire ICE District is connected by an enclosed pedway system, critical in Edmonton's extreme winters when outdoor temperatures can hit -40°C. Games run about 2.5 hours in regulation. The energy when the Oilers are winning is electric. This city lives and dies with its hockey team.

Tips & Fan Reports
Eat a big meal before arriving at Rogers Place. Arena food is expensive and the selection is not great. It is easy to get in and out though and there is beer close to every seating area.
Find the sketchy little hole-in-the-wall sports bars near the arena for game nights. You rock up in an Oilers jersey and you will get The Nod from the regulars. Great local atmosphere.
If you are in the upper bowl don't look down if you have a fear of heights. Seriously though the views are great from everywhere. Arrive by 6:30 for a 7pm puck drop and you will have plenty of time.
The Summit Suite sits directly above centre ice and includes a three-course meal, a private bartender and an Oilers jersey for every guest.
Prices at Rogers Place are in Canadian dollars.
The pedway system connects from Edmonton Tower and Stantec Tower through Ford Hall — the indoor route in winter.
Parking is reserved online through ParkWhiz rather than paid on arrival.
Precise ParkLink releases 4,000-plus spaces per event online; book rather than arrive hunting.
MacEwan Station is the closest LRT stop, and the LRT entrance is on the arena's north side at street level.
Doors open only 60 minutes before an Oilers game, shorter than most of the league — so the ICE District Plaza is where the hour before goes.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.

Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Ticket prices — Secondary market averages (SeatGeek/StubHub)
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the ICE District Central Parkade is sold through ParkWhiz with no figure. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Rogers Place 2026: ICE District Central Parkade is the official option, a block south with indoor pedway access; passes range under C$10 to over C$50 by proximity, advance sales through Reef Events").
