What to Expect
loanDepot park is in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami, built on the site of the old Orange Bowl. The retractable roof is essential, Miami's heat, humidity, and frequent afternoon thunderstorms make open-air baseball impractical for half the season. Attendance is typically lower than most MLB parks, which means cheap tickets and easy upgrades. The Latin American fan culture brings energy, food, and music to the experience.

Game Day
Check out the Marlins Museum in left field and the Bobblehead Museum near the right field line. Your partner has to bring a small or clear bag - they are strict about the bag policy.
All ten facilities run free-flow, so entry is quicker than a gated lot.
The tailgate is the space immediately behind the car and nothing wider.
Parking & Directions
Park in the Third Base Parking lot and get there at least 30 minutes before game starts. Easy in, easy out. Do not get the pizza from the Worlds Best Pizza stand - it is not.
Cooking is prohibited in garages; grilling is limited to surface lots behind the vehicle.
Activate a prepaid session in MLB Ballpark on game day and add your license plate.
Food & Drinks
The Cuban sandwich is the must-eat item, pressed ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard on Cuban bread.
Mojitos at a ballpark, only in Miami. They're the signature drink and surprisingly well-made.
Versailles on Calle Ocho is the legendary Cuban restaurant. Eat there pregame.
Seating
The Biscayne Bay Brew Hall is in the atrium by sections 15-16, a bar with a video wall rather than a seat with a view.
The Bullpen Zone in right field looks into the VISITORS bullpen, so you watch the opposing relievers warm up from a few feet away.
The roof closes and the ballpark is air-conditioned, which makes even the cheapest upper-deck seat the only cool way to watch baseball in Miami.
General
Ticket prices are usually cheap because attendance is low. Check StubHub right before the game for deals. The stadium itself is actually nice - it just does not fill up like other parks.
Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Permitted clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags may not exceed 16 x 16 x 8 inches; small clutches may not exceed 6 x 8 inches.
Medical and infant bags are exceptions, and all approved bags are subject to inspection before entry.
- Gate opening
General gates usually open 90 minutes before first pitch, while PNC Club and suite entrances open two hours early.
Marlins Members may enter through East Plaza Gate 11 two and a half hours before Friday and Saturday home games.
- Venue payments
loanDepot park is cashless and accepts only electronic payment at concessions, retail locations, and 50/50 raffle sales.
A reverse ATM that converts cash to a payment card is near Section 3.
- Re-entry
Guests generally may not leave loanDepot park and re-enter with the same ticket.
Re-admission is allowed only for an emergency or a visit to the New Era Team Store on West Plaza; speak with Guest Experience before exiting.
