What to Expect
Citizens Bank Park sits in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex alongside Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles) and Xfinity Mobile Arena (76ers/Flyers). The 2004 ballpark was designed as a classic, open-air facility with excellent sightlines throughout. Philadelphia fans are famous, passionate, knowledgeable, and unapologetically loud. The 2022 and 2024 World Series runs have only amplified the intensity. The food program leans hard into Philly traditions: cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, crab fries, and roast pork sandwiches. Take the Broad Street Line, the AT&T subway station drops you right at the ballpark.

Game Day
Take the Broad Street Line. NRG Station is right at the ballpark. Parking is fine but the subway is easier.
Check the lot letter: A-H and M-O tailgate and open five hours out; everything west of Darien or north of Pattison does neither.
Bring a card. Every lot is cashless with no cash fallback.
Parking & Directions
Live Hotel and Casino is literally in the parking lot of Citizens Bank Park if you want the most convenient stay. The Schmitter sandwich is a Philadelphia institution but they stopped serving it at CBP itself.
Preferred and prepaid passes are not accepted at Live! casino lots on North 10th Street; use Phillies-designated lots.
The B, formerly the Broad Street Line, serves NRG Station at Broad and Pattison, about a seven-minute walk; fares are $2.90 and children under twelve ride free.
Food & Drinks
Yuengling, Pennsylvania's own, gets a whole Party Pavilion at Section 105, and Four Walls, the It's Always Sunny guys' Irish whiskey, pours at three bars.
The cheesesteak debate starts at the park, Campo's and Chickie's & Pete's both serve them inside. Neither is the city's best but both are solid.
Crab fries from Chickie's & Pete's are the cult favorite, seasoned fries with warm cheese dip. Lines are long. Go early.
Seating
Sections 122-125 behind home plate have an awesome view and are the ones to watch on StubHub when it starts raining 20 minutes before first pitch. Citizens Bank Park has some of the best food in baseball.
The Cooperstown Gallery inside the Hall of Fame Club is a mini hall of fame for Philadelphia baseball, and is included with the ticket.
Diamond Club sections A through G all sit behind netting. If you want nothing between you and the plate, this is not the premium ticket to buy.
General
If you are bringing a baby, standing room only tickets are smart in case the kid can not hang and you need to leave early. Ear protection for little ones is a must - it gets loud. We survived a rain delay with an infant so you can too.
Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Citizens Bank Park permits clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches and clutch purses or fanny packs up to 5 x 7 inches.
Medical and diaper bags are also permitted; backpacks, drawstring bags, and other non-clear bags are prohibited, and all bags are inspected.
- Gate opening
The entire ballpark opens 90 minutes before first pitch for regular-season games.
Third Base and Left Field gates partially open two hours before Monday through Friday games and 2.5 hours before weekend games; times may change.
- Venue payments
Concession and merchandise purchases are cashless and accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Reverse ATMs inside the New Era Team Store, behind Section 123, and in the elevator lobby behind Section 317 convert cash to prepaid debit cards.
- Re-entry
Citizens Bank Park does not permit re-entry after a guest leaves the ticketed area.

Phillies parking page: "The cost of car parking is $30. Any oversized vehicle that takes up more than one spot will be charged $60." Bus parking is $60, and all game parking is cashless. The page prices only the Phillies lots: it publishes no figure for street parking or FDR Park, so the free street parking is an estimate, and it says only that regular SEPTA fares apply, so the subway fare belongs to the transit section.
