What to Expect
Target Field sits on the edge of downtown Minneapolis in the North Loop neighborhood, an open-air ballpark that brought outdoor baseball back to Minnesota after nearly three decades in the Metrodome. The skyline of downtown Minneapolis towers beyond right field, and the limestone facade blends with the city's architecture. The pregame scene centers on the North Loop's breweries and restaurants, with Fulton Brewing and the Freehouse drawing crowds before games. The Target Field Station light rail platform is adjacent to the ballpark, transit is seamless. Games run about 3 hours.

Target Field allows outside food so get a pizza and bring it in. Park at the Mall of America and take the light rail to Target Field. Every train will be full of Twins fans and it is very safe.
Get the giant cheese curds and the My First Twins Game personalized poster in the right field plaza at the service booth. Great keepsake especially for kids attending their first game.
Fulton, Modist, and InBound breweries are all nearby and usually full of Twins fans before and after games. Eat and have a beer or two outside the field to save money. Dining and beer options are plentiful.

The UnitedHealthcare Champions Club was renovated over the 2025 off season, so older reviews of it are out of date.
There are roughly 25,000 spaces downtown beyond the 7,000 adjacent, so a full ramp is not the end of it.
Check which of the three gate times applies: a Tuesday night gives you an hour, a Saturday gives you two.
Target Field is open-air in Minnesota. For an early or late season game, the indoor club spaces are worth more than the sightline difference.
From the west on I-394, exiting at 6th or 4th Street North leaves you a couple of blocks away amid the parking ramps.
Four of the six driving routes end the same way: exit at Olson Memorial Highway, Highway 55, then onto North 7th Street.
