What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
Fulton, Modist, and InBound breweries are all nearby and usually full of Twins fans before and after games. Eat and have a beer or two outside the field to save money. Dining and beer options are plentiful.
Both METRO Blue and Green Lines serve Target Field Station directly.
Northstar commuter rail has been replaced by expanded bus service between downtown Minneapolis and Big Lake.
From the west on I-394, exiting at 6th or 4th Street North leaves you a couple of blocks away amid the parking ramps.
Four of the six driving routes end the same way: exit at Olson Memorial Highway, Highway 55, then onto North 7th Street.
Target Field Station is the ballpark's own light rail stop, served by both the Blue and Green Lines.
The Northstar corridor is now buses rather than commuter rail. An old timetable will mislead you.
SouthWest Transit is the option from the south-west metro.

Parking Rules
What the pass covers, what gets turned away, and the lots that run on their own rules.
Your Pass
- Target Field was built without adding public parking of its own. Most ballpark parking is the state-owned ABC Ramps, which hold about 6,500 spaces between them.
- Ramp B has a street-level entrance on 2nd Avenue, so aim for that rather than circling the ballpark.
- MnDOT credits its coordinated egress with clearing the ramps within 30 minutes of the final out, which makes staying in your seat a little longer a reasonable strategy.
Accessible Parking
The strongest accessible route here is Ramp A, which MnDOT connected to the ballpark by skyway specifically to address ADA and pedestrian safety. It is covered and step-free, which matters in April and September in Minneapolis.

Getting There
The Twins claim Target Field is more accessible by public transit than any other ballpark in America, and the claim is at least defensible: two light rail lines run directly to Target Field Station, which is the ballpark's own stop. Driving is published from six directions, and four of them come down to the same instruction: exit at Olson Memorial Highway and turn onto North 7th Street.
- Driving
- From the north, take I-35 south, follow I-35W at the divide, merge onto I-94 West and exit at Olson Memorial Highway (Highway 55), then right and right again onto North 7th Street. The ballpark is on your left. From the east on I-94 westbound and from the northwest on I-94 eastbound, use the same Olson Memorial Highway exit. From the south, I-35 north and I-35W to the downtown exit, follow it onto 5th Ave S and turn left at 7th Street S. From the west on I-394, exit at 6th Street North or 4th Street North, a couple of blocks away. From the southwest, Highway 169 north to I-394 East and the same exits.
- Public Transit
- The METRO Blue Line and METRO Green Line both run directly to Target Field Station from Minneapolis, St. Paul and Bloomington. Metro Transit's bus network reaches the ballpark and downtown Minneapolis on many routes, and the Northstar corridor is now served by expanded bus service between downtown Minneapolis and Big Lake rather than commuter rail. SouthWest Transit runs services in from the south-west metro.

Northstar’s last train ran 4 January 2026 and replacement buses began 5 January, after an August 2025 Metropolitan Council decision -- metrotransit.org/northstar now 404s, the operator having removed its own service page. MnDOT’s page still describes it in the present tense and is simply stale. The entry is removed rather than repriced. Metro Transit’s local bus and METRO fare is "$2" at all times, all-day pass $4
