The spread

The cheapest domestic beer in the NHL is C$7.50 (about $5.40) at Canada Life Centre; the priciest is $16 at T-Mobile Arena. The median across the 32 arenas is $12, 4 of them come in under $10 and 6 charge $14 or more. Over three beers that is a $32 swing on one line of a game-day budget, before a ticket or a parking pass.

Each price is the domestic draft or can in that arena's concession basket on its food and drink guide. Checked means the figure was verified against a published menu, a pricing pull or an approved fan report; estimate means it is our figure and has not yet been, which is worth knowing when a dollar decides your ranking. 11 of the 32 have been checked. Canadian arenas price in Canadian dollars; the ranking converts them at 0.72 US dollars to the Canadian dollar, the rate the site's rankings used on 2026-08-14, and prints both.

How to spend less

  1. Read the stand list before you go. Every food and drink guide lists the venue's actual stands and what each sells; the cheapest beer is rarely at the stand nearest your seat.
  2. Look for the value item. Several arenas sell a smaller domestic pour or a value-priced can at a handful of stands; the guide names the stand where a venue publishes one.
  3. Compare the whole bill, not the beer. The NHL food and drink ranking sorts every arena by the full concession basket, and the Game Day Cost Calculator adds tickets and parking for your own party.
  4. Tell us what you paid. Each guide has a price report form; an approved report is how an estimate becomes a checked figure.
