KeyBank Center serves up Buffalo's iconic food culture alongside standard arena fare. Beef on Weck, Buffalo's other signature sandwich, is available at multiple stands, and the chicken tenders come with the city's famous wing sauce. Labatt Blue, brewed across the border in Ontario, is the de facto Sabres beer. The surrounding waterfront neighborhood has excellent pregame dining options that outclass anything inside the arena, and at lower prices.
Tips & Fan Reports
Eat wings at Union Pub before the game - decent place with okay prices and walking distance from KeyBank Center. The in-arena food is nothing special.
Labatt Blue is practically the official beer of the Sabres. It's brewed in Ontario and tastes best at a hockey game.
The arena food is solid and affordable by NHL standards. No need to eat beforehand to save money.
Anchor Bar (birthplace of the Buffalo wing) is a 10-minute drive from the arena. Worth a visit before or after the game.
Beef on Weck is Buffalo's underrated regional sandwich, thinly sliced roast beef on a kummelweck roll with horseradish. Don't skip it.
First intermission lines are manageable, the arena isn't as packed as larger-market venues.
