Rogers Place has the best concession options in the NHL's Canadian arenas, the 2016 build means modern food halls, diverse vendor options, and craft beer stands throughout the wide concourse. Alberta beef, bison smokies, and poutine represent the regional flavors. Alley Kat Brewing and other Edmonton-area craft breweries are on tap. The ICE District restaurants offer upscale pregame dining connected to the arena via pedway. Canadian arena pricing applies, beer is noticeably more expensive than US arenas. The arena's Food Finder names every stand and its section: Downtown Grill at 115 with beer brat chili cheese fries, a Montreal style hot dog and green onion cake; Whitemud Kitchen at 220 and Whyte Ave Bistro at 132 for classic Canadian poutine and KFC sandwiches; Wrapped at 129 for chickpea wraps, quinoa bowls and sushi; Market Perogies at 120, 204 and 229; Butcher's Cuts for the super donair; the 104th Nacho and Carvery Bar at 112; and Mott's Caesar House at 122.
Tips & Fan Reports
Eat a big meal before arriving at Rogers Place. Arena food is expensive and the selection is not great. It is easy to get in and out though and there is beer close to every seating area.
Bison smokies are uniquely Albertan. Try them instead of a standard hot dog.
Caesars are the quintessential Canadian cocktail. If you're visiting from outside Canada, try one.
Mobile ordering is available via the Oilers app for faster concession pickup.
The ICE District restaurants are connected via pedway, dine pregame without going outside in winter.
Alley Kat is Edmonton's flagship craft brewery. Their amber ale on tap is excellent.
