What to Expect

Little Caesars Arena anchors the District Detroit, a multi-block entertainment zone between Woodward Avenue and the I-75 corridor. The arena opened in 2017 and is one of the NHL's newest and most impressive venues. The Red Wings' pregame scene lives in the restaurants and bars of the District Detroit and along Woodward Avenue. Detroit is experiencing a renaissance, and game nights showcase the city at its best. Plan to arrive 60–90 minutes early to explore the Via concourse and catch warm-ups.

Tips & Fan Reports

Bring an empty water bottle with you and fill it inside to save money. Get a coney from American or Lafayette for the real Detroit experience. Pro tip - Lafayette is the better one.

Look for the Red Wing logo at the northeast corner lower concourse made of auto parts. There are multiple selfie and photo spots including the Red Wings bench and Little Caesars spear.

Check out the Olympia letters from the actual Olympia hockey rink on display inside. Little Caesars Arena has tons of history throughout the building if you look for it. Also Mike's Pizza Bar is solid.

The UWM Legends Club is the ONLY club at Little Caesars Arena that overlooks the arena bowl. The Comerica Players Club, Michigan First Credit Union Club, Labatt Blue Club and Rehmann Club do not — check before buying a club ticket expecting a view.

Southbound Woodward Avenue (M-1) carries lane closures on event days — approach from another direction if you can.

Portals 1-20 are on the street level concourse and 21-72 on the upper concourse, so the portal number tells you which level you are entering.

Aim for Trinity Health, UWM or Temple West if you want the shortest walk, particularly for accessible parking.

These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
