Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Only bags and purses smaller than 12 x 12 x 6 inches are permitted after physical inspection.
For help entering with a medically necessary bag, contact Ticketing and Customer Services in advance at 780-414-4625 or info@rogersplace.com.
- Bag storage
Rogers Place does not offer storage for prohibited bags or other rejected items.
Before entry, return the item to another location or surrender it for disposal; surrendered items are not returned.
- Gate opening
Doors open 60 minutes before regular-season Oilers games.
Check the ticket for the event's confirmed door time.
- Mobile tickets
Display a mobile ticket in the Rogers Place app, mobile Account Manager website, Apple Wallet, or Google Pay for entry; screenshots are invalid.
Download tickets before arrival for offline access; guests without a smartphone can arrange Will Call pickup with government-issued photo identification.
- Re-entry
Rogers Place does not allow exit and re-entry during events.
- Prohibited items
Prohibited items include oversized bags, professional cameras and recorders, selfie sticks, outside food and alcohol, hard-sided reusable bottles, computers and tablets, weapons and sprays, aerosols, lasers and fireworks, noisemakers, projectiles, wheeled devices, coolers, chairs, pointed umbrellas, seat cushions, drones, and non-service animals.
Signs, flags, and banners cannot exceed 11 x 17 inches or be attached to a pole or stick; event operators may add restrictions.
- First aid
The primary First Aid station is on the 100 Level behind Section 130, with a secondary station on the 200 Level behind Section 230.
EMTs attend every event; notify an employee or text 587-207-HELP (4357) if either station cannot be reached.
- Nursing and lactation
Nursing guests may visit Fan Services behind Section 121 or 230 for an escort to a private room.
- Family restrooms
Family and gender-neutral washrooms are available throughout Rogers Place, including behind Sections 105, 118, 126, 130, 209, and 219.
Every family and gender-neutral washroom has a baby-changing table, with additional changing tables in several men's and women's washrooms.
- Tickets for children
A child younger than 24 months may enter without a ticket when sitting on a ticket holder's lap and not obstructing other guests.
Children age 24 months and older need tickets; child-focused shows may require tickets for every child.
- Guest services
Fan Service Centres are on the 100 Level behind Section 121 and the 200 Level behind Section 230.
During events, text 587-207-HELP (4357) for assistance; outside event hours call 780-414-LIVE (5483).
- Service animals
Trained service animals are welcome and must remain leashed or harnessed and rest within the guest's seating area rather than an aisle.
The venue recommends contacting Ticketing and Customer Services at 780-414-LIVE (5483) before the event to discuss accommodations.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking, cannabis use, e-cigarettes, and vaping are prohibited everywhere on Rogers Place property.
Guests cannot leave to smoke and then re-enter.

Arrive in the ICE District
Take the LRT to Churchill station and walk through the pedway to the ICE District. The bars and restaurants are already buzzing.
Pregame on Jasper Avenue
The bars along Jasper Avenue and in the ICE District fill with Oilers fans. Hudsons and the Pint are popular pregame spots.
Enter Ford Hall
Ford Hall, the free public gathering space attached to Rogers Place, hosts live entertainment and big-screen viewing before puck drop.
Find your seat
Rogers Place fills with a sea of blue and orange. The modern arena has one of the best game-night atmospheres in the NHL.
Game time
Three 20-minute periods in one of the newest, most technologically advanced arenas in hockey. The atmosphere when Connor McDavid touches the puck is unmatched.
Hit the concourse
The wide concourse has diverse food options, from Alberta beef to bison smokies. Grab a local Alley Kat brew.
ICE District nightlife
The ICE District bars stay open late. Walk through the pedway back to your hotel or the LRT without going outside.

The pedway system connects the LRT, hotels, and Rogers Place. In winter, you never need to go outside.
Rogers Place opened in 2016 and has excellent sightlines from every seat. The upper bowl is surprisingly close to the ice.
The ICE District around Rogers Place is Edmonton's newest entertainment district - restaurants, bars, and a casino.
Edmonton winters are extreme. If walking outside, dress for -30°C or worse. The pedway is your friend.
Ford Hall is free and open to the public, a great spot to soak up the atmosphere even without a ticket.
Edmonton winters are brutal (-20°C is common). The ICE District has indoor pedway connections from nearby hotels.
Doors open only 60 minutes before an Oilers game, shorter than most of the league, so the ICE District Plaza is where the hour before goes.

What Rogers Place allows before the game, and what it does not.

- Fans can access the arena from downtown through the ICE District Plaza entrance doors at the foot of Ford Hall, at street level through the entrance on 104 Avenue, and through the LRT entrance on the north side of the venue.
