Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Bags, including purses and backpacks, may not exceed 14 x 14 x 6 inches (35 x 35 x 15 cm).
Diaper bags are allowed after security screening.
- Bag storage
Guests with oversized bags must return them to their vehicle or another secure area before entering Rogers Arena.
- Mobile tickets
Mobile tickets must display a moving barcode; screenshots and ticket images are not accepted at Rogers Arena.
- Re-entry
Rogers Arena does not allow guests to leave and re-enter during Canucks games.
- Prohibited items
Prohibited items include weapons, coolers, aerosol cans, bottles and cans, outside food or beverages without a food or medical exception, recording devices, detachable-lens cameras, horns and other noisemakers, face-covering masks, helium balloons, and bags larger than 14 x 14 x 6 inches.
Sticks, flagpoles, selfie sticks, skateboards, rollerblades, and roller skates are also prohibited, and signs may not be attached to sticks or poles.
- First aid
First-aid staff are stationed near Sections 104 and 306 during events.
For immediate help, contact the nearest arena staff member and first aid will be sent to you.
- Nursing and lactation
A quiet room at Section 108 is available by request and subject to availability for nursing parents or anyone needing a sensory break.
- Family restrooms
Family washrooms are located at Sections 103 and 109, and baby-changing tables are available in every washroom.
- Tickets for children
Children 36 inches tall or shorter may enter without a ticket if they sit on an adult's lap; children taller than 36 inches need a separate ticket.
- Guest services
Guest Services Centres are at Sections 104, 114, and 311; Section 104 is available during hockey games only for club-section ticket holders.
They loan assistive devices and booster seats, store guest items, provide maps, and answer questions.
- Service animals
Service animals are welcome at Rogers Arena, and Guest Services provides carpets for them.
Tell the ticket seller when purchasing if an aisle seat is needed for a service animal.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers, and cannabis use are prohibited inside Rogers Arena.
There is no designated outdoor smoking area and no re-entry. Before entering, smokers must remain at least 6 metres from the building.
Game Day Timeline
What the day looks like at Rogers Arena, hour by hour.
Arrive in Yaletown or Gastown
Take SkyTrain to Stadium-Chinatown or walk from your hotel. The pregame bar scene is spread across Yaletown, Gastown, and Granville Street.
Pregame pints and sushi
Vancouver's food scene is world-class. Yaletown has upscale sushi and cocktails; Gastown has heritage pubs and craft beer.
Walk to Rogers Arena
The walk from Yaletown or Gastown takes 10-15 minutes. Enter the arena and watch warm-ups.
Find your seat
The arena fills with blue, green, and white. Canucks fans bring serious energy, especially for rivalries against Edmonton or Calgary.
Game time
Three 20-minute periods. The atmosphere during Battle of Alberta crossover games or Pacific Division rivalries is electric.
Hit the concourse
Japadog and poutine, Vancouver's arena food reflects the city's multicultural food scene. Grab a Granville Island beer.
Yaletown and Granville nightlife
Yaletown bars and Granville Street clubs stay open late. SkyTrain runs until ~1 AM for post-game rides home.
Tips & Fan Reports
Vancouver rain is constant from October to April. Bring a rain jacket for the walk to the arena.
The Canucks-Oilers and Canucks-Flames rivalries are some of the most intense in hockey. Those games sell out fast.
SkyTrain from the airport (Canada Line) connects at Waterfront station, one stop from Stadium-Chinatown.
Gastown (5 min walk) has some of Vancouver's best bars and restaurants. Steamworks Brewing is a fan favorite pregame spot.
SkyTrain to Stadium-Chinatown is the easiest way in, 5-minute walk to the arena entrance.
Rogers Arena is on the waterfront. The seawall walk from Coal Harbour to the arena is scenic on game nights.
The 14 by 14 by 6 inch limit covers purses and backpacks alike.
Every gate runs metal detectors, so allow queueing time on top of the walk.
The parkade clearance is 6 feet 6 inches, so a van or a roof box will not fit even with a reservation.
Do not plan to park at the arena for a Canucks game. The parkade is closed to the public, disability stalls aside.
Before the Game
For Canucks games, the Rogers Arena parkade is not open to the public at all. Only a limited number of disability stalls, by reservation. That single fact decides the trip: everyone else parks elsewhere in downtown Vancouver or takes transit. Lot 987, the underground parkade, is reached from Griffiths Way off either Expo Boulevard or Pacific Boulevard, has a 6 foot 6 inch clearance, and opens to ticketholders no earlier than 15 minutes before the arena doors. Bags including purses and backpacks must not exceed 14 by 14 by 6 inches, and every gate has walk-through metal detectors and bag searches.

Lot 987, the underground parkade off Griffiths Way
Entered from Griffiths Way, itself reached from Expo Boulevard or Pacific Boulevard, with a height clearance of 6 feet 6 inches. Not open to the public for Canucks games, and opens to ticketholders no earlier than 15 minutes before doors.

The arena sits in the heart of downtown, which is where everyone without a reserved stall parks or arrives from, and the pregame, since no tailgating policy exists.

What Rogers Arena allows before the game, and what it does not.
- For Vancouver Canucks games, parking is not open to the public. A limited number of disability stalls are available by reservation.
- Lot 987, the underground parkade, is accessible via Griffiths Way, which is entered from either Expo Boulevard or Pacific Boulevard. Height clearance is 6'6" (2m).

- Only the outside food and drink the rule allows
Outside food and drinks are prohibited, but empty plastic water bottles are allowed at Canucks games and Fan Services can approve medical or special-food exceptions.

In-arena event purchases are cashless; accepted methods include debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
