Getting to Nationwide Arena

Columbus Blue Jackets · Columbus, OH

Nationwide Arena publishes its transit directions by the direction you are travelling from rather than as one generic paragraph, which makes it the most usable transit guidance of any venue in this data. Four approaches, four sets of COTA routes, each ending at a named stop a block or two from the doors. Driving is organised the same way, by origin city and exit.

Tips & Fan Reports

Pick your COTA route by the direction you are coming from: lines 1, 2 or 5 from the north or south, 3 or 8 from the west, 6 or 9 from the east.

VYT Research

Three of the four approaches end one block from the arena, so the walk is negligible whichever you use.

VYT Research

The Transit app carries COTA real-time information, which the arena recommends over static schedules.

VYT Research

Driving directions are published by origin city with named exits — Front Street exit 100A from Cincinnati, Fourth Street from Pittsburgh, Dayton or Indianapolis.

Transit

COTA publishes one flat systemwide fare -- "Standard, Frequent, & Rush Hour routes: $2.00", with a $4.50 two-hour pass -- so the stored $2.00 needs no origin to be determinate and is correct as it stands. The bikeshare entry does not survive: CoGo ceased operations in spring 2025 and cogobikeshare.com no longer resolves in DNS at all, which is the same first-hand evidence that retired the DC Circulator entry. Re-pricing a service whose operator's domain has been released would make a dead entry look freshly checked. Removing it leaves COTA as the arena's publishable car-free arrival, which is what it already was.
