Nationwide Arena is an intimate arena with 18,500 seats in hockey configuration. The two-level bowl keeps fans close to the ice, and the upper deck has a steep rake that provides surprisingly good views. The lower bowl wraps tight around the rink. The famous cannon sits behind one of the goals, nearby sections feel it when it fires. The arena is well-designed for hockey with clear sightlines from almost every seat.
