Kauffman Stadium shares the Truman Sports Complex's multiple lots with Arrowhead. The Royals encourage advance purchase but currently allow gate sales at $30 general, $45 reserved while available, or $50 oversized. Advance rates are $21 general, $36 reserved and $41 oversize. Tailgating is allowed behind vehicles, with large groups directed to Lot L.

Parking is very easy for Royals games and never really a problem. They allow certain water bottles (plastic and see-through) and there are refill stations inside. Check the website for the exact policy.
The only complication about getting to Kauffman is that it is not near downtown KC. You need to drive or rideshare. But once you are there the parking lot experience is easy and straightforward.
Keep tents and other equipment out of drive lanes.

The ballpark's one published transit option is the 47 Broadway bus, listed in the A to Z guide under Bus Transportation. Schedules are at ridekc.org.

Your Pass
- Parking must be bought in advance. There is no paying at the gate.
- Your pass is shown from the MLB Ballpark app at the tollgates, so download and sign into the app before you set off, not in the queue.
- Kauffman Stadium shares the Truman Sports Complex with Arrowhead Stadium, and the complex has many separate lots. Check the map against your pass before you pick a gate.
Getting There
Kauffman Stadium sits in the Truman Sports Complex it shares with Arrowhead, right at the intersection of I-70 and I-435, a highway location that makes the drive simple and everything else hard. The only transit the Royals publish is one bus route, the 47 Broadway, and parking must be bought in advance and shown in the MLB Ballpark app at the tollgate.
- Driving
- The stadium is at 1 Royal Way, in the Truman Sports Complex across the street from Arrowhead Stadium, positioned at the intersection of I-70 and I-435. The Royals describe it as a 10-minute drive from downtown Kansas City and about half an hour from most of the metropolitan area.
- Public Transit
- The Royals' A to Z guide says the 47 Broadway bus serves Kauffman Stadium 7 days a week, to get fans to Royals games and home again, and sends riders to RideKC at ridekc.org for schedules. The guide names no stop, so check where to board and get off on RideKC's route page.
- Rideshare
- Before the game, rideshare and taxi drop-off is in front of Gate D on the first base side or Gate B on the third base side. After the game, rideshare and taxi pickup is at the designated Traffic Row in the middle of Lot A.

- Transit
Both stored entries were wrong in kind. The Royals Express / Stadium Express shuttle from Power & Light has not run since 2009; RideKC's own news item "Route 47-Broadway Serves The K" describes what replaced it -- regular route service seven days a week along Blue Ridge Cutoff, with stops eastbound at 40th and 41st and westbound between 41st Terr. and Stadium Entrance D Drive. RideKC reintroduced fares and publishes "$2 Single Ride" with a "$4 Day Pass" and a $4.00 daily cap, so the trip costs $2 rather than $5, and the entry now names the route and where it goes. The KC Streetcar entry is removed rather than re-priced: it is genuinely free, and its own stored description already said it "does not reach Kauffman Stadium" -- which made it the $0 winner of cheapestCarFreeTransit and so the cheapest way the site offered to reach a ballpark it does not serve. A free ride to somewhere else is not a fare for this trip.
