Chase Field recommends reserving downtown parking through the club's parking page. The club recommends parking in the downtown quadrant you arrive from rather than crossing downtown after the game. Payment depends on the garage or lot: some take only cards, others only cash.
Road Closures on Game Day
- Southbound 3rd Street may be routed west at Washington Street as traffic conditions dictate. If that happens, continue west on Washington to 1st Avenue and turn left to head south, or go east on Jefferson Street to reach parking.
- If southbound 7th Street is backed up, turn right on Roosevelt or Fillmore Street and use 1st Street or 1st Avenue to get south.

There is street parking nearby if you don't want to pay for the stadium garage. The light rail drops you off close too. Chase Field is in downtown Phoenix so plenty of food options within walking distance.

Valley Metro light rail connects Phoenix, Mesa and Tempe with stops within walking distance and a $4 daily fare maximum.
The daily light rail fare caps at $4, so a park-and-ride trip in and out costs no more than one longer ride.
Left turns from 7th St westbound onto Washington St are prohibited. A map app may not know.
Trains run every 15 to 20 minutes, every day of the year.
Load fare in advance on the Valley Metro app or a Copper card to skip the postgame queue at the machines.
The club's own congestion tip is to stay on I-17 to the 7th Ave exit rather than exiting at 7th St.

Parking Rules
What the pass covers, what gets turned away, and the lots that run on their own rules.
Your Pass
- Park in the same quadrant of downtown you arrived from. Enter from the south, for instance, and park between 3rd Avenue and 9th Street, from Lincoln to Jefferson Street. Crossing Copper Square afterwards is what costs you time.
- The HOV lanes are the club's recommended way in and out, and outside weekday peaks, 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m., you do not need multiple passengers to use them.
- Avoid the 3rd Street HOV exit on the way in. The club names it the least preferred option because of heavy event usage.
- Getting out, the route depends on where you parked. North of Washington Street, take 3rd or 7th Avenues to the freeways, or Central, 3rd and 7th Avenues northbound.
- Parked southeast of Copper Square, south of Jefferson and east of 4th Street, you will be sent south to Lincoln Street then east to 7th Street, where you can turn right for I-17 or carry on south.
- Parked southwest, south of Jefferson and west of 3rd Street, head south to Lincoln, which becomes Grant, then west to 7th Avenue for I-17 southbound or I-10 northbound.
- Watch the electronic message signs on the freeway and surface streets on the way in. They carry the current routing advice.
Getting There
Chase Field's driving directions are written by someone who has sat in the traffic: each approach comes with a helpful hint for avoiding congestion, and the page warns about a specific prohibited turn (westbound 7th St onto Washington St) that a map app will happily send you into. Valley Metro's light rail caps your fare at $4 for the day however far you ride.
- Driving
- Chase Field is at 401 E. Jefferson Street, bounded by Seventh Street east, Fourth Street west, Jefferson Street north and the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks south. From the southeast valley, take I-10 and the right three lanes to I-17 at the split, exit right on 7th St then left at Lincoln St, or continue north on 7th to Jefferson and turn right for the lots east of 7th. Note that left turns from 7th St westbound onto Washington St are prohibited. To avoid congestion, stay on I-17 to the 7th Ave exit and go north. From Scottsdale or East Mesa, Loop 202 west to I-10, exit at the 3rd St HOV exit or 7th Ave, then left on Fillmore, Van Buren or Jefferson. From the northwest valley, I-17 to the Jefferson St exit and turn left. From the northeast, the Squaw Peak Parkway to I-10 eastbound and exit at Washington St.
- Public Transit
- Valley Metro light rail runs 365 days a year across Phoenix, Mesa and Tempe, with trains every 15 to 20 minutes dropping riders within walking distance of Chase Field. Fares are bought at any light rail station with cash or card, or loaded in advance through the Valley Metro app or a Copper card, and the daily maximum is $4. Once you hit it, further rides that day are free. Park-and-ride stations include 19th Ave/Dunlap, Montebello/19th Ave, 19th Ave/Camelback, 7th Ave/Camelback, Central Ave/Camelback, 38th St/Washington, Dorsey Ln/Apache Blvd, McClintock Dr/Apache Blvd, Sycamore/Main St, Mesa Dr/Main St and Gilbert Rd/Main St.
- Rideshare
- Rideshare pickup and drop-off at Chase Field are on 5th Street north of Washington Street and on Jackson Street east of 9th Street.
