I prefer the parking structure that gives quick access to the 163 freeway for leaving. Valet parking across the street from the stadium is $80 and totally worth it if you don't want to deal with traffic.
The Tailgate Lot is the only grilling spot. More expensive but the only traditional tailgate option.
The MTS Trolley to Gaslamp Quarter Station is one block from gates, cheap and easy.
Scooters and bikes are popular, rent one from the beach communities.
Park in a Gaslamp garage and walk, you'll pregame at bars along the way.
Post-game, walk to the Gaslamp for dinner and let parking traffic clear.

Your Pass
- Buy your pass early. Parking cannot be purchased within four hours of the event — leave it late and you cannot buy at all, which is a different problem from arriving to a full lot.
- All Ace Parking garages and lots open at least two hours before the scheduled start.
- The Padres Parkade, Tailgate Park and the Lexus Premier Lot open within four hours of the event.
- Park 12 Valet opens two and a half hours before the game, and its entrance is on 12th Avenue alongside the MTS Trolley line.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking has its own garage immediately beside the ballpark — the 6th and K Parkade on the west side — at a published rate well below the general garages. It is not reservable, so arrive early.
- The 6th and K Parkade sits on the west side of the ballpark and is reached via 6th Avenue.
- The rate is $15, subject to change, and spaces go first come, first served.
- Every surface lot and garage in the Petco Park Parking and Access Plan meets or exceeds the federal requirement to reserve 1% of spaces for guests with disabilities.
