Tips & Fan Reports
What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
Mission Bay garages are the best value, 20-minute waterfront walk to the ballpark.
The SF Bay Ferry from Oakland/Alameda docks right at the ballpark, the most scenic arrival in MLB.
Post-game traffic on 3rd Street and the Embarcadero is slow. Walk or take Muni.
Take transit, Muni, Caltrain, or the Bay Ferry. San Francisco parking is expensive and stressful.
If driving, pre-book Lot A online. It's the only lot within a block of the gates.
The ferry docks at the ballpark itself for night games — Alameda, Oakland and Vallejo, direct.
Caltrain runs an extra local train after weekend and weekday evening games, so the last train is not the published one.
Tailgating is allowed in Lot A only, and specifically not at Pier 48 or 153 Townsend.
Muni's N Judah stops at 2nd & King, adjacent; the T Third stops at 4th & King, one block away.
Muni trains and BART both run until around midnight every day of the week.

Parking Rules
What the pass covers, what gets turned away, and the lots that run on their own rules.
Your Pass
- Street meters near Oracle Park run on a special-event rate of $13 per hour as of July 1, 2026.
- Meters are enforced Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm, and from noon to 10 pm on Sundays when an event is scheduled.
- The event rate window follows first pitch: a game before 3 pm sets it from noon to 6 pm, a game between 3 and 6 pm sets it from 3 pm to 10 pm, and a game after 6 pm sets it from 6 pm to 10 pm.
- Oracle Park's event zone is bounded by King, The Embarcadero, Bryant, 5th, Berry, China Basin and 3rd.
- The zone bounded by China Basin, Terry A Francois, Mariposa and 7th is triggered by an event at either Oracle Park or Chase Center, so a Warriors game alone will raise the meters there.
- Meters carry either a four-hour limit or no limit depending on the block, whether or not a game is on. A four-hour meter will not cover a long game, so read the sign before you leave the car.
Getting There
Oracle Park is the best-served venue in this data by public transport and the Giants organise the page the right way round — by where you are coming from rather than by mode. Muni, Caltrain, BART and a ferry that docks at the ballpark itself all reach it, most running past midnight, and Caltrain adds an extra local train after evening games. Driving is the leg the club actively discourages: every Giants-controlled space requires a pre-booked reservation, ADA placard holders included.
- Driving
- The Giants publish no driving route. What they publish instead is a requirement: every fan parking in a Giants-controlled lot or garage must hold a pre-purchased SpotHero reservation, including those with a valid ADA placard. Dozens of independent lots and garages surround the ballpark. Informal tailgating is allowed in Lot A only, not at Pier 48 or 153 Townsend, and oversized vehicles need a reservation through Group Ticketing at roughly twice the passenger-car rate.
- Public Transit
- From San Francisco, Muni's N Judah and the gameday shuttles stop at 2nd & King Station adjacent to the ballpark, and the T Third/Central Subway stops at 4th & King Station one block away; Muni connects to BART at Embarcadero and Powell, and all train lines run until midnight every day. From the Peninsula and South Bay, Caltrain's San Francisco Station at 4th and King is a short walk, with trains every 5 to 20 minutes at weekday peaks and every 30 minutes otherwise, plus an extra local train after weekend and weekday evening games. BART serves the Peninsula at Daly City, Colma, South San Francisco, San Bruno and Millbrae, and the East Bay, running until after midnight. SF Bay Ferry runs direct between Oracle Park and the Alameda, Oakland and Vallejo terminals for night games.
- Rideshare
- Drop-off on King Street or 3rd Street near the main entrance. Post-game pickup is congested. Walk to 2nd Street or the Embarcadero for faster service. 15-20 minutes from the Mission, Marina, or Castro.
- Walking
- 2nd & King Station is adjacent to the ballpark and 4th & King Station is one block away, so both rail approaches put you at the gates.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Parking guidance
SFMTA special-event parking regulations for Oracle Park: meter rate, enforcement hours, the event-triggered rate window, and the affected street zones.
- Getting there
Oracle Park transportation pages on mlb.com/giants — taking transit and driving and parking
- Transit
Three Bay Area operators. SFMTA Muni $2.85 tap. Caltrain is zoned -- 1 Zone $4.00, 2 Zones $6.25, 3 Zones $8.50, 4 Zones $10.75 -- and San Francisco 4th & King is Zone 1, so the entry now names Millbrae (Zone 2, the BART and SFO interchange) and carries the 2-zone $6.25; $7 is not a Caltrain fare. San Francisco Bay Ferry adult one-way, Oakland & Alameda route: $5.10, and the entry now names the route rather than the occasion
- Venue policies
Oracle Park policy, accessibility, gameday, food, bag-storage, parking, and mobile-ticket guidance reviewed for entry, family, payment, food, and accessibility rules.

These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
