Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Bags may not exceed 16 x 16 x 8 inches and are inspected at every gate; backpacks are prohibited.
Within the size limit, possible backpack exceptions include diaper bags, single-compartment drawstring bags, and bags used for medical reasons. Soft-sided coolers within the size limit are allowed, while hard-sided and foam coolers are prohibited.
- Bag storage
Daikin Park staff will not hold or store items that are not allowed into the ballpark.
An item surrendered to security will not be stored or returned.
- Gate opening
Daikin Park gates open two hours before game time unless the Astros announce otherwise.
The full ballpark is accessible when gates open, and gate times may change.
- Mobile tickets
Astros tickets must be presented on a mobile device through the MLB Ballpark app or the StubHub app when purchased there.
Screenshots, printouts, PDFs, and copied barcodes are not accepted. Load tickets before arrival; previously viewed tickets remain available in the Ballpark app during low connectivity.
- Re-entry
Guests may not re-enter Daikin Park after their ticket has been scanned for entry.
- Prohibited items
Daikin Park prohibits weapons, alcohol, backpacks without an allowed exception, oversized bags, drones, fireworks, hard-sided coolers, luggage, laser pointers, and other listed items.
Cameras with lenses longer than 8 inches, tripods, monopods, noisemakers, aerosol cans, and costumes or costume masks are also prohibited; review the full official list before arrival.
- First aid
First Aid is at Section 150 on the Main Concourse and Section 334 on the Upper Concourse.
For medical assistance, notify the nearest Guest Services representative or usher.
- Nursing and lactation
Daikin Park has Mamava pods by the Right Field Gate Team Store and the Section 228 Club Level elevator, plus a mothers room in Fan Accommodations at Section 323.
- Family restrooms
Daikin Park has 16 private family restrooms with baby-changing tables across the Main, Club, Mezzanine, Suite, and Upper levels.
Locations are Main Concourse Sections 106, 111, 127, 131, and 154; Club Sections 208, 215, 229, and 233; Mezzanine Section 251; Suite Level 20; and Upper Sections 315, 317, 325, 329, and 334.
- Tickets for children
Children age 2 and younger may attend an Astros game without a ticket when seated on an accompanying adult's lap.
- Guest services
Fan Accommodations centers are at Section 112 on the Main Concourse and Section 323 on the Upper Concourse.

- Service animals
Dogs individually trained to perform disability-related work or tasks are welcome at Daikin Park.
The designated service-animal relief area is the grassy space outside the Center Field Gate.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking is prohibited inside Daikin Park and within 25 feet of its entrances and exits.
The policy includes e-cigarettes, similar products, and smokeless tobacco.
Game Day Timeline
What the day looks like at Daikin Park, hour by hour.
Arrive in EaDo
Head to the East Downtown neighborhood for pregame food and drinks. 8th Wonder Brewery and True Anomaly Brewing are popular spots within walking distance of the park.
Pregame on Crawford Street
The blocks around Crawford Street and Texas Avenue fill with fans heading to the park. Street vendors and food trucks set up along the route.
Enter and explore
Walk through the main entrance on Crawford Street. The retractable roof will be open or closed depending on the weather. Check the Astros app for status.
Watch batting practice
Head to the Crawford Boxes in left field for the best chance at catching a home run ball during BP. The short porch makes this one of the best BP spots in baseball.
Grab food and find your seat
Hit the BBQ stands or Tex-Mex counters on the main concourse. The brisket sandwich is the signature item, lines are shorter during BP than during the game.
Play ball
Nine innings of baseball in climate-controlled comfort when the roof is closed, or under the Houston sky when it's open. Listen for the train whistle on Astros home runs.
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The crowd sings 'Deep in the Heart of Texas' during the 7th inning stretch, clap along or get judged. Grab a final round before the late innings.
Head to EaDo or downtown
Walk east to the EaDo breweries for a postgame drink or take the METRORail back to your hotel. The area clears out within 30 minutes.
Tips & Fan Reports
The best part of the game-day tour is sitting out in right field after the tour watching Astros batting practice. Totally worth doing once if you have never been to Minute Maid before.
The train track above left field fires a vintage locomotive when the Astros hit a home run.
The retractable roof is usually closed from May through September, Houston heat and humidity are no joke. The AC keeps the interior around 72°F.
Crawford Boxes (Sections 100-104) are the loudest, most fun seats in the park. Short left-field porch means lots of homers land here.
Daikin Park's retractable roof means you get air conditioning in Houston's brutal summer heat.
Take the METRORail, the Convention District stop is a 5-minute walk. Driving in downtown Houston on game day is frustrating.
Crawford Boxes in left field (Section 100-104) are the most affordable lower-deck seats and one of the best fan sections.
Gates open two hours out with full access, so arriving early means going inside rather than waiting outside.
Downtown parking around the ballpark is the practical option, since none of it supports a pregame setup.
There is no tailgate here: the club bars tailgate parties on every facility lot.
Before the Game
Tailgate parties are not allowed on any of Daikin Park's facility parking lots, so there is no lot-based pregame to plan in downtown Houston. What the ballpark does give you is a long run inside: gates open two hours before game time unless otherwise stated, with full ballpark access from the moment they do, so the hour most venues spend in a lot is spent in the park here.
