Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Angel Stadium permits inspected purses or bags no larger than 12 x 12 inches with one zipper or flap, plus clear bags no larger than 12.75 x 6.5 x 12.75 inches.
Backpacks and hard-sided coolers are prohibited. Medically necessary items and diaper bags are permitted after inspection.
- Bag storage
Angel Stadium has no bag-storage facilities, and staff cannot store or watch a rejected bag.
A bag that is too large or is not submitted for inspection must be returned to the guest's vehicle.
- Gate opening
Angel Stadium gates normally open 90 minutes before first pitch; for 1 p.m. starts, they open 60 minutes before first pitch.
Published gate times may change without notice.
- Mobile tickets
Angels tickets are delivered digitally and must be presented in the MLB Ballpark app on a mobile device.
Print-at-home PDFs and ticket screenshots are not accepted.
- Re-entry
Re-entry is not permitted after a guest leaves Angel Stadium.
- Prohibited items
Angel Stadium prohibits weapons, backpacks, aerosol cans, outside alcohol, glass bottles, hard-sided coolers, laser pointers, noisemakers, and other listed items.
Cameras with lenses longer than 6 inches, tripods, monopods, motorcycle helmets, and wrapped packages are also prohibited; review the complete official list before arrival.
- First aid
First Aid is on the Field Level by Section 130 and is staffed by certified medical personnel from gate opening until 30 minutes after the event.
- Nursing and lactation
Private nursing suites are at Section 101 and inside the Guest Relations office near Section 133.
Each suite provides privacy, a changing table, and a sink and is available on request.
- Family restrooms
Family restrooms are at Sections 107, 132, 312, and 340.
Every public restroom, including each family restroom, has a baby-changing station.
- Tickets for children
Children younger than 3 do not need a ticket to enter Angel Stadium.
- Guest services
Guest Relations is near Sections 101, 133, 135, 240, and 420 and at the Home Plate Gate entry.

Dogs trained to perform disability-related work or tasks are welcome at Angel Stadium; emotional-support and companion animals are not permitted.
- Smoking and vaping
Angel Stadium is smoke-free except for designated smoking areas in the Gate 1, Gate 2, Gate 3, and Gate 4 courtyards.

Arrive and set up in the lot
Angel Stadium's massive parking lot is one of the few in MLB where traditional tailgating thrives. Get there early, pop the trunk, and set up.
Tailgate and socialize
The lot fills with music, grills, and coolers. The Mexican-American fan community brings incredible carne asada and street tacos to the parking lot scene.
Enter and explore
Walk through the main entrance past the Big A sign. Head to center field to see the rocks and waterfall display up close.
Watch batting practice
The outfield seats offer good BP views. The rocks in center field make a fun backdrop for photos.
Grab SoCal food
Fish tacos, carne asada fries, and helmet nachos are the moves. The food program reflects Anaheim's SoCal and Mexican food culture.
Play ball
Nine innings under the Southern California sun (or stars for evening games). The Rally Monkey appears on the video board when the Angels need a comeback.
Stretch under the SoCal sky
The crowd sings 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' under one of the most consistently perfect baseball skies in America.
Exit to the lot
The massive lot means you're probably walking 5-10 minutes to your car. I-5 traffic is the main post-game challenge.
Tips & Fan Reports
Unlike Dodger Stadium, Angel Stadium lets fans without field level tickets go down to the railing to watch batting practice. Take advantage of this - it is a great experience before the game starts.
The parking lot is the pregame scene, Angel Stadium has one of the best tailgating cultures in MLB. Bring a grill and cooler.
Metrolink from LA Union Station to ARTIC is an alternative to the I-5 nightmare, but it's a 0.5 mile walk from the station.
Angel Stadium's parking lots are huge and tailgating-friendly. Arrive early for the cookout atmosphere.
Southern California weather makes this one of the most comfortable outdoor ballparks. Rain is almost never an issue.
The Rally Monkey is the iconic Angels mascot, appears on the video board during late-game rallies.

Tailgating at Angel Stadium happens in exactly one place, the Big A Lot, and nowhere else on the site. The fuel rule is narrow: only approved gas or propane barbecue units with a fuel-valve turn-off may be used, which rules out charcoal entirely. Two other rules catch people out. Alcohol consumption in the parking lot is illegal, not merely discouraged, and on-site catering is prohibited outright with no catering trucks admitted. Lots open two and a half hours before first pitch; the six stadium gates open 90 minutes before a night game and 60 before a day game, and the lot closes an hour after the final out.
