Game Day Timeline
What the day looks like at Globe Life Field, hour by hour.
Arrive at the Entertainment District
Head to the Arlington Entertainment District for pregame. Texas Live! is the hub, multiple bars and restaurants in one complex directly across from the ballpark.
Texas Live! pregame
PBR Texas, Troy's, and Guy Fieri's Taco Joint fill with Rangers fans. Cold beer and Tex-Mex fuel the pregame scene.
Enter Globe Life Field
Walk through the main entrance on Randol Mill Road. The retractable roof status is announced on the Rangers app. It's usually closed from May through September.
Watch batting practice and explore
Walk the concourse, Globe Life Field is modern with wide open spaces. The left-field porch is a good spot for BP homers.
Grab food and find your seat
The brisket sandwich and Boomstick are the signature items. Lines build fast. Go now or during BP.
Play ball
Nine innings of climate-controlled baseball. The retractable roof keeps it around 72°F inside even when it's 100°F outside.
Deep in the Heart of Texas
The crowd sings 'Deep in the Heart of Texas', clap along. Grab a final round before the late innings.
Head back to Texas Live!
Walk across to Texas Live! for postgame drinks or head to your car. The lots clear in 20-30 minutes.
Tips & Fan Reports

Globe Life Field has a retractable roof and air conditioning - essential for Texas summer baseball.
Arlington has no public transit to the ballpark. Driving is the reality, pre-book parking to save money.
Texas Live! entertainment district between Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium is the pregame hub.
The window runs to the end of the second inning, so there is no rush to be seated for first pitch.
There is a full hour of post-game tailgating, which beats sitting in the exit queue.
Lots A, B and T permit no tailgating at all, so check the letter before buying.
Set up on the grass, not in your bay. Globe Life is explicit that parking spaces hold vehicles and nothing else.
Before the Game
Globe Life Field inverts the usual tailgating geometry. Tailgating and all its set-up — tents, grills, tables, chairs — is permitted only on the grassy areas surrounding the parking lots, never in a parking space: the spaces are for vehicles and vehicles only. It is permitted across most Rangers lots but not in Lots A, B or T. The window is generous at both ends, running from the moment the lots open through to the end of the second inning, and then again for up to an hour after the final out.
Where to Go Before the Game
The grassy areas around the lots
The only ground where a tailgate may be set up. Tents, grills, tables and chairs all go here rather than in a parking bay, because the bays are for vehicles only.
Known for The only tailgate ground · Not the parking spaces · Tents and grills here
The general Rangers lots
Most of the parking around the ballpark permits tailgating on the adjacent grass. Lots typically open around 3.5 hours before first pitch with gates at 2.5 hours, though this varies by event.
Known for Tailgating permitted · Lots ~3.5 hours before · Gates 2.5 hours before
Lots A, B and T
The three lots where tailgating is not allowed at all, whatever the grass beside them looks like.
Known for No tailgating · Parking only
The post-game hour
Tailgating resumes after the game and runs up to an hour past the final out, which makes the lot a way to let the Arlington traffic clear.
Known for One hour post-game · Beat the traffic
