Travel
Overview

TD Garden sits directly above MBTA North Station in downtown Boston. It's the most transit-accessible arena in the NHL, the train literally stops inside the building. If you're driving, expect Boston's notoriously confusing one-way streets and limited parking. Rideshare works but surge pricing after games can be steep. For visitors staying in Back Bay, Cambridge, or the suburbs, the T is the clear winner.

Crowdsourced logistics and veteran shortcuts from the fan community. Every tip is voted on by fellow game-day veterans.

Tip #1

The T to North Station is the best option. It's literally inside the arena. No argument.

Tip #2

If driving from the suburbs, park at an outlying T station (Alewife, Braintree, Riverside) and ride in.

Tip #3

Boston's one-way streets are confusing even for locals. Use GPS and follow garage signs on Causeway.

Tip #4

Rideshare surge after games can double the rate. Walk 2-3 blocks toward Haymarket for lower prices.

Tip #5

Game nights create heavy congestion on Causeway Street and Storrow Drive starting around 5:30-6:30 PM.

Tip #6

If staying at a downtown hotel, just walk. Boston is compact and the arena is centrally located.
