Game Day Timeline

What the day looks like at TD Garden, hour by hour.

3 hours before puck drop

Arrive in the West End

Take the T to North Station or park in a nearby garage. The Canal Street bars are already filling with Bruins fans in black and gold.

2 hours before puck drop

Pregame pints

Sullivan's Tap and The Harp are the classic Bruins pregame spots. Expect standing room only for rivalry games against the Canadiens or Maple Leafs.

1 hour before puck drop

Doors open

Enter TD Garden and watch warm-ups. The sound of skates on fresh ice and pucks hitting the boards sets the tone for the night.

30 minutes before puck drop

Find your seat

The arena fills fast for Saturday night games. Settle in, the Bruins pregame video and crowd energy build toward the anthem.

Puck drop

Game time

Three 20-minute periods with two intermissions. Bruins fans are loud, knowledgeable, and don't tolerate lazy play. Expect 2-2.5 hours total.

First intermission

Hit the concourse

Lines at concessions peak during the first intermission. Grab a clam chowder or a Sam Adams and get back before the second period drops.

Post-game

Spill onto Causeway

Win or lose, Canal Street bars stay packed after the game. Or walk to the North End for a late cannoli at Mike's Pastry.

Tips & Fan Reports

The Hub on Causeway (attached to TD Garden) has restaurants and bars open late for pregame and postgame.

VYT Research

Take the T, North Station is literally inside TD Garden. No easier arena access in the NHL.

VYT Research

Post-game, walk to Haymarket or Government Center for a less packed Green Line platform.

VYT Research

Lower bowl seats near the glass are cold, the ice surface drops the temperature noticeably.

VYT Research

First intermission concession lines are the worst. Buy food during warm-ups or the second intermission.

VYT Research

The Garden gets LOUD during Bruins games. The crowd noise in the old barn was legendary, and the energy carries over.
