Travel
Overview

The Bell Centre sits in downtown Montreal between Rue de la Montagne and Rue de la Gauchetière. The STM metro system is the clear best option — Lucien-L'Allier station connects directly to the arena via an underground passage, and the RÉSO underground city links several nearby stations and hotels. Montreal's downtown is compact and walkable in warmer months, but winter conditions make the underground connections essential.

Tip #1

The metro to Lucien-L'Allier is the best way to get to the Bell Centre — direct underground connection, no winter exposure.

Tip #2

The RÉSO underground city is essential in winter. You can walk from most downtown hotels to the arena without going outside.

Tip #3

Driving in downtown Montreal is stressful — one-way streets, construction, and limited parking. Take the metro.

Tip #4

Post-game, the metro is packed. Walk to Crescent Street for a drink and catch a later train.

Tip #5

If visiting from the US, note that Montreal parking meters and transit accept tap/contactless payment.

Tip #6

The metro runs until 1:00 AM on weekends — covers even overtime games.
