American Family Field holds 41,900 fans across three main levels under a retractable roof. The ballpark has an intimate feel for its size — sightlines are excellent throughout, and even the upper deck seats provide a clear view of the diamond. The retractable roof makes it comfortable year-round: closed with heat in April and October, open on warm summer evenings. Bernie Brewer's slide in left field adds a fun target for home-run views. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly — this isn't an intense, corporate ballpark.

Premium Seating Sections

Each section offers a distinct vantage point. Choose based on your priorities: proximity, comfort, atmosphere, or value.

Home Plate Box / Diamond Box

$100 - $200

Directly behind home plate in the lower bowl. The closest non-premium seats to the action with clear sightlines to every pitch.

The Pros

  • Best view of the strike zone and pitch movement
  • Padded seats with extra legroom
  • Close to main concourse food options

The Cons

  • Most expensive non-suite tickets
  • Can feel less lively than the outfield sections
  • Foul ball danger zone — stay alert

Field Infield (Sections 110-126)

$55 - $120

Lower bowl along the baselines from first to third base. Excellent views of the batter's box, infield plays, and base-runner action.

The Pros

  • Great for watching at-bats develop up close
  • Good foul ball opportunities along the baselines
  • Covered by the loge overhang on the home-plate side

The Cons

  • Baseline seats face slightly off-center toward the outfield
  • Sun exposure on the first-base side for afternoon games

Field Outfield (Sections 101-109, 127-135)

$35 - $70

Lower bowl outfield seats near the bullpens and the left-field Bernie Brewer slide area.

The Pros

  • Best spot for home run ball chances
  • Close to Bernie Brewer's slide — fun for kids
  • Good value for lower-level seats

The Cons

  • Farther from home plate action
  • Angled views of at-bats from the corners

Loge Level (Sections 209-235)

$25 - $60

Second deck with an elevated perspective of the entire diamond. The loge infield sections offer some of the best overall views in the ballpark.

The Pros

  • Excellent value — great sightlines at mid-range prices
  • Covered by the terrace overhang on most sections
  • Full panoramic view of the diamond

The Cons

  • Outfield loge sections are farther from the action
  • Can feel distant on weeknight games with smaller crowds

Terrace Level (Sections 401-437)

$10 - $30

Upper deck with a bird's-eye view of the field. The cheapest seats in the ballpark with surprisingly decent sightlines.

The Pros

  • The most affordable seats in MLB — under $20 for many games
  • Full-field view from every section
  • Great for groups and families on a budget

The Cons

  • Highest elevation — the farthest from the field
  • Limited food options on the terrace concourse
  • Long walk up the ramps
