American Family Field is west of downtown Milwaukee. Famous for tailgating - one of MLB's best. Free Brewers Line shuttle from downtown. Large lots make tailgating easy.

Road Closures on Game Day

  • I-94 East-West reconstruction is under way near the ballpark, and the club publishes alternate routes by direction of travel. Check them before you set off rather than trusting a habitual route.

Tips & Fan Reports

What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.

The parking lot has a very football tailgate feel to it. Wait until after first pitch and buy at the box office for like 40% off behind home plate. Seriously works all the time for the Brewers.

MillerParkTG

Tailgating is allowed and encouraged in all general lots. Charcoal grills, coolers, and pop-up tents are all welcome.

Parking Rules

What the pass covers, what gets turned away, and the lots that run on their own rules.

Your Pass

  • Every lot runs on license plate recognition. There are no cashiers and no scanners — attendants direct you to a spot and the plate does the rest.
  • Buy in advance and activate once you are onsite, or buy on arrival with a QR code. Apple Pay, Google Pay and credit cards are accepted.
  • Passes are date-specific. Buy the wrong date and you pay again at the day-of-game rate, so check before you check out.
  • Opening times follow the start time: 2.5 hours before weekday 6:10 and 6:40 p.m. games, and 3 hours before weekday 12:40 and 1:10 p.m. games and every Saturday and Sunday game.
  • Spaces cannot be saved. If you want to park next to someone, arrive at the same time.
  • Only people holding a valid ticket for that game are permitted in the lots.
  • There is no game-day parking on Milwaukee Road or Wheelhouse Road. Vehicles left there are ticketed or towed.
  • Ring roads may be parked on only when staff direct you there, and they are sometimes used for preferred parking.
  • A vehicle carrying advertising signage, or signage the club considers abnormally large, needs written pre-approval.
  • All lots close within an hour of the final out. There is no overnight parking, and vehicles left behind are ticketed or towed at the owner's expense.
  • Motorcycles and scooters park in the Cooper Lot at general rates. Two or more may share a space, and every one must display a state-issued licence.
  • Free lock-out and no-start assistance runs from two hours after first pitch until at least an hour after the game. Ask an onsite police officer or parking attendant.

Not Allowed In

  • Anything longer than 18 feet counts as oversized. Between 18 and 36 feet you pay for the two stalls you occupy, and staff may send you to the American Family Lot.
  • Any vehicle the club judges to be a non-standard size or configuration is charged bus and RV rates, and any vehicle may be turned away at the club's discretion.
  • Unlicensed motorized vehicles, scooters included, are prohibited, and no motorized vehicle may be taken onto the plazas or walkways.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking here does not need a special pass — a general pass bought in advance gets you into any of the accessible areas. Stalls are not held back, but staff will place you as close as they can once they are full, and free courtesy shuttles cover the rest.

  • Buy a general parking pass in advance and it grants access to any accessible parking area.
  • ADA stalls are filled first come, first served. Once they are full, parking personnel park guests in the closest available spaces.
  • Courtesy shuttles run free for guests needing assistance, from marked pick-up points around the grounds to the nearest entrance. Tipping is not permitted.
  • After the game the shuttles collect from the Robin Yount Statue on the Home Plate Plaza and beside the UW Credit Union Plaza Gate, and return you to where you were picked up.
  • Expect longer shuttle waits for day games and high-attendance games.

RV Parking

RVs use the dedicated Bus/RV lot and are charged at its own rate rather than the general one.

  • Anything longer than 18 feet is treated as oversized and cannot use an ordinary stall.
  • Vehicles the club judges non-standard in size or configuration are charged bus and RV rates.

Bus & Limo Parking

Buses use the dedicated Bus/RV lot, and approved shuttle services have their own drop-off points rather than entering the general lots.

  • Approved shuttle services may use the drop-off near the Ticket Office and Home Plate Gate, reached via Yount Drive.
  • There is a second accessible bus drop-off west of the ballpark.
  • Unauthorised vehicles using either drop-off area may be ticketed or towed.

Milwaukee Brewers Car Gear

Window flags, plate frames, and decals to fly Milwaukee Brewers colors in the lot.

How We Checked This Page

Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.

Parking prices

The Brewers' own rate table gives general parking at $14 advance and $17 day-of on weekdays, $16 and $22 at weekends and for Cubs games. $14 is the published floor. Supersedes a third-party guide's '$15 weekdays, $20 weekends', neither of which appears in the club's table. The Overflow Lots entry is not a club facility and was not re-checked.
