What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
Park by Ball Arena early and walk over. Uber or Lyft after late games can be rough. If you are staying downtown you can walk but it is about 20-25 minutes. The RTD train is another option.
Approaching from the south, use exit 210B for Auraria Parkway, then 7th, 9th or 11th Street.
Use Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens light rail station.
Advance parking is sold through Ticketmaster once you have bought event tickets.
The MallRide is free and connects Union Station to the 16th Street Mall, currently running on 15th and 17th Streets during reconstruction.
The adjacent RTD bus stop is at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway.

Your Pass
- Ball Arena parking lots open three hours before the start of the event.
- For Avalanche and Nuggets games the public lots are the 4Runner at $35, the Tundra at $40 and the RAV4 premier lot at $70, which holds the closest spaces.
- The Camry VIP and Corolla lots are permit-only for Avalanche and Nuggets games, and the Tacoma lot is not available to the public for any event.
- Elitch's Lot is $35 for Avalanche and Nuggets games, and is managed by Elitch Gardens separately from Ball Arena.
- Credit and debit cards are accepted at every Toyota Ball Arena lot. Cash is accepted only at the Tundra lot, where paying by card takes $5 off the rate.
- Approaching from the south, take exit 210B for Auraria Parkway and turn left onto 7th, 9th or 11th Street. From the north, take exit 212B toward downtown and turn right onto Chopper Circle. From downtown, turn west on Auraria Parkway then right onto 7th, 9th or 11th Street.
- The TRD-Pro lot is valet, with drop-off and pick-up on the circle drive outside the East Atrium.
- Rideshare, taxi and limousine services use the Ball Arena Rideshare lot at 5th and Walnut Streets, in the 4Runner West parking lot only.
Accessible Parking
Accessible spaces are spread across three lots and counted publicly, which is unusual. Most venues name a lot without saying how many spaces are in it.
- The Camry North lot has 103 standard accessible spaces and 7 van-accessible spaces.
- The Tundra lot has 8 standard accessible spaces and 4 van-accessible spaces.
- The RAV4 lot has 3 standard accessible spaces.
- A state-issued accessible parking permit must be displayed.
Getting There
Ball Arena has its own light rail station (Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens, on four RTD lines), which makes it one of the few venues in this data where the train goes to the building rather than near it. Driving is organised around Auraria Parkway and the numbered streets off it, and the lots open three hours before an event.
- Driving
- From the south, take I-25 North toward Denver and exit at 210B for Auraria Parkway, merge onto Auraria Parkway, then turn left onto 7th, 9th or 11th Street to reach the arena grounds. From the north, take I-25 South, exit 212B toward downtown, turn left onto Speer Boulevard and right onto Chopper Circle at the second light. From downtown, head west on Speer Boulevard to Auraria Parkway, turn left, then right on 7th, 9th or 11th Street.
- Public Transit
- The Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens station is served by four light rail lines (D, E, H and W) and you can walk straight into the grounds from it. An RTD bus stop sits adjacent to the arena at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway, served by multiple routes. The free MallRide shuttle runs the 16th Street Mall, currently on 15th and 17th Streets during reconstruction, connecting to Union Station.
- Rideshare
- Rideshare, taxi and limo pick-up and drop-off is only at the Ball Arena Rideshare Lot, in the 4Runner West parking lot at the 5th and Walnut Streets entrance.
- Walking
- On foot the arena is reached by the multi-use Cherry Creek Trail and the shared-use sidewalk along Auraria Parkway.

RTD 16th Street FreeRide: "You don’t need a ticket and there’s no fare, just hop on board!" RTD has renamed the Free MallRide to 16th Street FreeRide; it runs Union Station to Wade Blank Civic Center Station every 4-12 minutes. RTD’s 3-Hour Pass is $2.75 for its fare-charging services.
