Tips & Fan Reports
What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
The new parking ramp across from the Xcel right off Kellogg and 35E is decent. Same with the ramp attached to the Holiday Inn. Park all the way at the bottom then leave via the left ramp up one level and exit on floor two.
Victory ramp is cheap and usually not nearly full if you don't mind walking. It is about $15-20 and super convenient. During playoffs it is $20.
RiverCentre Ramp is the most convenient but fills first. Pre-purchase for rivalry games.
Use the skyway system. In a Minnesota winter, walking from your car to the arena entirely indoors is a game-changer.
The Green Line from Minneapolis to Central Station is the stress-free option for Twin Cities fans.
Post-game, Kellogg Ramp exits to Kellogg Boulevard for quick I-35E access south or I-94 west.
St. Paul parking is very affordable compared to other NHL cities. Even the closest ramp is just $20.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Parking guidance
Official Grand Casino Arena parking page, read 2026-08-14 (the venue was renamed from Xcel Energy Center; xcelenergycenter.com 301-redirects here): both ramps with their addresses and height clearances, licence-plate entry and the three payment methods, EV charging with its rate, the skyway connection, the Gate 4 rideshare point, and the bus exemption from the No Parking signs. Ramp rates, hours, ADA rules and RV policy are not published.
- Venue policies
Current Grand Casino Arena visitor and accessibility guides plus Minnesota Wild game-day and mobile-ticketing pages reviewed for Wild policies.
Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the connected ramps are described and priced only for EV charging. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Grand Casino Arena 2026: the two connected ramps, RiverCentre and Kellogg Underground, run $25-$40 for Wild games; early SpotHero reservations from $17").
