Tips & Fan Reports
What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
Surface lots are fine for early-season and late-season games when temperatures are above freezing.
In winter (November through March), use a connected parkade. Walking even 3 blocks in Winnipeg cold is dangerous without proper gear.
Pre-purchase parking for all games, Jets sell out consistently and parking fills up.
Post-game, the parkade exits to Portage Avenue. Traffic clears in about 20 minutes.
True North Square Parkade has the best indoor connection. You literally walk from your car through a heated corridor to the arena.
Drop-off and pick-up use the curb lanes on Donald Street and Portage Avenue.
The main entrance is the corner of Donald Street and Portage Avenue — every published driving route ends there.
From the south, Pembina Highway becomes Donald Street across the Donald Street Bridge and puts you a block from the door.
Nineteen bus routes are listed as running for all events; anything outside that list needs confirming before you set off.

Getting There
Canada Life Centre sits on Portage Avenue between Hargrave and Donald in downtown Winnipeg, and it publishes a route in from all five directions plus the airport — each one written to the corner of Donald Street and Portage Avenue, where the main entrance is. Winnipeg Transit reaches it with as many as 58 routes, which the arena splits into ones that always run and ones to confirm first.
- Driving
- The arena is on Portage Avenue between Hargrave Street and Donald Street, with the main entrance at the corner of Donald and Portage. From the airport, go east on Wellington, right onto King Edward (Route 90 South), left onto Ellice Avenue and right onto Donald Street. From the west, Trans Canada Highway 1 East becomes Portage Avenue (Route 85 East) straight into downtown. From the south, Highway 75 becomes Pembina Highway (Route 42 North), which becomes Donald Street over the Donald Street Bridge, then left onto Portage Avenue. From the east, take Route 135 West to Dunkirk Drive (Route 62 North) through Osborne Street and Memorial Boulevard, then right onto Portage Avenue eastbound. From the north on the Perimeter Highway, turn south on Main Street (Route 52 South) then right onto Portage Avenue westbound.
- Public Transit
- Winnipeg Transit runs up to 58 routes serving the arena. The ones the arena lists as running for all events are Routes 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 33, 38, 44, 45, 47, 55, 60, 66, 160 and 162/170; a longer list of variable routes may not run at all times and should be confirmed before you travel. The arena publishes no stop name, so check winnipegtransit.com or call 311 for the stop and fares.
- Rideshare
- Uber/Lyft or Unicity Taxi drop-off is on Hargrave Street near the arena entrance. Expect moderate waits after games.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Parking guidance
Official Canada Life Centre parking page, read 2026-08-14: the Platinum Parking partnership and its 1,700-stall pre-booking pool, the recommended booking services, and the six named drop-off zones. Lot names, rates, hours, ADA rules, RV and bus policy, road closures and maps are not published.

- Transit
City of Winnipeg transit fares: adult cash $3.45, Peggo e-cash $3.10, 24-hour e-pass $11.45 (Canadian dollars). Cash is stored, not the Peggo figure: the discount needs a stored-value card bought in advance, and the convention here is the fare a visitor can pay on arrival without preparation. Canada Life Centre’s transit page states that regular Transit fares apply to all events, which is what both entries carry. NOTE for a human: "DART (Downtown Rapid Transit)" could not be identified as a distinct Winnipeg Transit product -- the fare is right, the entry name may not be

Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the page recommends ParkMobile or ParkWhiz and prices nothing. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Canada Life Centre 2026: True North Square parkade, the closest to the arena, charges a C$15 flat rate for Jets games").
