Getting to Acrisure Stadium

Acrisure Stadium's own directions are written for drivers and no one else: three routes in, each ending on the loop of North Shore Drive that circles the building, plus a warning about I-279 congestion on event days. Every approach funnels through the same North Shore exit, which is why the stadium recommends a navigation app for the last few hundred yards to a specific lot.
Tips & Fan Reports
The T (light rail) is free on game days and stops right at the stadium. Stay at a hotel in downtown and take an easy walk or train ride to Acrisure. Hit Primanti Bros and Hofbrauhaus while you are there.
Nothing on the stadium's directions page covers the T, buses or the ferry, so plan a car-free trip from the transit operator's map instead.
From the Turnpike it is Exit 70C to the North Shore ramp and the Fort Duquesne Bridge, keeping left.
Exit 1B from I-279 North is a left-hand exit — get across early.
Every route ends the same way: Reedsdale Street to Allegheny Avenue, which becomes the North Shore Drive loop around the stadium.
The stadium publishes alternate routes specifically for avoiding I-279 congestion on event days; read them before kickoff, not during.

- From the airport, take I-376 E, which becomes I-279 North, and take exit 1B on the left toward North Shore; turn onto Reedsdale Street, then left onto Allegheny Avenue, which becomes North Shore Drive and circles the stadium. From I-279 Parkway North, follow I-279 South to the North Shore exit signed for Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park, then Reedsdale to Allegheny Avenue. From the PA Turnpike, take the Monroeville exit to I-376 West, then Exit 70C to the North Shore ramp and Fort Duquesne Bridge, keeping left. The stadium suggests Waze for the final approach to a specific lot, and publishes alternate routes for avoiding I-279 on event days.
- Public Transit
- The stadium's directions page names no transit line and publishes no stop — light rail, bus and ferry are not covered on it at all, despite the North Shore location. Plan that leg on Pittsburgh Regional Transit's own map.
- Rideshare
- Uber and Lyft serve the North Shore with designated zones. From downtown Pittsburgh, expect $6-10. From Pittsburgh International Airport, $35-45. Roberto Clemente Bridge is closed to traffic on game days, so rideshare drops on the North Shore side.

Pittsburgh Regional Transit publishes a Free Fare Zone covering "First Avenue Station, Steel Plaza Station, Wood Street Station, Gateway Station, North Side Station, Allegheny Station" -- "Ride light rail for free within the Free Fare Zone", which "extends from the North Shore to First Avenue Station". Acrisure Stadium is at North Side, so the stored $0 is right and now has a source; PRT’s general fare page never mentions the zone, which is why earlier attempts found only third-party claims. Outside the zone the fare is $2.75, day pass $7. The Gateway Clipper publishes its Steelers shuttle at "ONE WAY: $7.50" and "ROUND TRIP: $15" -- the stored $10 was neither. Walking entries carry no transit fare by definition
