Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Acrisure Stadium permits clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, one-gallon clear freezer bags, and non-clear bags up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches.
Medically necessary items are permitted after inspection.
- Bag storage
Acrisure Stadium does not store prohibited bags or other rejected items at the gates.
Guests must return a rejected item to a vehicle or dispose of it before entry.
- Gate opening
All Acrisure Stadium gates open two hours before kickoff for Steelers games.
- Mobile tickets
Steelers tickets are mobile and should be opened in the Steelers app and saved to a mobile wallet before arrival.
Screenshots are not valid for entry.
- Re-entry
Re-entry is not permitted after a guest exits Acrisure Stadium.
For a medical emergency, contact Guest Services at Gate B before leaving.
- Prohibited items
Acrisure Stadium prohibits weapons, noncompliant bags, coolers, outside alcohol, drones, fireworks, noisemakers, selfie sticks, strollers, and other listed items.
Review the live A-Z list before travel because event-specific restrictions may also apply.
- First aid
Acrisure Stadium has five First Aid locations shown on the stadium maps.
For immediate help, notify the nearest stadium employee.
- Nursing and lactation
Guests may nurse or pump in any First Aid room or family restroom at Acrisure Stadium.
- Family restrooms
Family restrooms are located near Sections 105, 124, 141, 205, 240, 505, 522, and 529, with additional North Club locations.
Baby-changing stations are available in stadium restrooms; some family restrooms are within ticket-restricted premium areas.
- Tickets for children
Every guest, including babies, needs a ticket for Steelers games.
The stadium's exception for children younger than one applies to Pitt games only.
- Guest services
Guest Services offices are near Sections 104, 123, 504, and 528.

- Service animals
Acrisure Stadium permits trained service dogs and miniature horses that assist guests with disabilities.
The venue recommends submitting its accommodation request form before the event.
- Smoking and vaping
Acrisure Stadium is smoke-free and has no designated smoking area inside or outside the gates.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited, and the no-re-entry rule prevents leaving to smoke and returning.

Tailgate Scene Builds
North Shore is alive with black and gold. Stage AE and riverside restaurants are packed with pre-game crowds. Terrible Towels everywhere.
Gates Open
Stadium gates open. Head in early to explore the Great Hall, check out the six Lombardi Trophies display, and grab food before lines build.
Bridge Walk & Warmups
The Roberto Clemente Bridge closes to traffic and fills with fans walking from downtown. Players take the field for warmups.
Find Your Seats
Settle in with your Primanti Brothers sandwich. The Terrible Towel wave is about to begin and you'll want to be ready.
Game Time
68,400 fans wave Terrible Towels in unison as Renegade blasts through the speakers. The 'Here We Go Steelers' chant echoes off the rivers. Pure Pittsburgh.
Exit Strategy
Walk back across the bridges to downtown or wait for the T. Many fans head to North Shore restaurants and bars. Station Square is a popular post-game destination.
Tips & Fan Reports
There's tailgating in the far lot past the soccer stadium. Come extra early and you can also take the Duquesne Incline to Mount Washington for incredible views of the city before the game.
Go in when gates open and go straight to the seats near the Steelers tunnel in Section 144 first row. You can watch warmups up close. The Strip District has great cheap eats like Lucy's Banh Mi.
Walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge from downtown. Closed to cars on game days and packed with fans. Best pregame walk in the NFL.
Primanti Brothers sandwich - coleslaw, fries, and meat all stacked between thick Italian bread. It is a Pittsburgh institution. Get one before or after the game.
Bring a Terrible Towel. It's not optional. You can buy one at the stadium or any shop in Pittsburgh. Wave it when defense is on the field.
Renegade by Styx plays in the 4th quarter on big defensive stands. The crowd goes absolutely insane. It is maybe the best in-stadium tradition in football.
North Shore parking lots fill up fast. Park across the river downtown and walk the Clemente Bridge. You save money and get a better experience.
The tailgating rules here are Alco Parking's, not the stadium's. Alco is on (412) 323-4455 if a specific question matters to your plans.
Champions Garage is the one place with a flat no: covered parking, no setup.
Lots open at 8 a.m. on game day whatever time kickoff is, so a 1pm game gives you five hours in the lot if you want them.
Before the Game
Tailgating is permitted in the pre-sold lots surrounding Acrisure Stadium, and the stadium hands the rulebook to its operator: the policy that governs a North Shore tailgate is Alco Parking's, not the venue's. The lots open at 8 a.m. on game day regardless of kickoff, which makes this one of the longest tailgate windows in the league. The one flat prohibition is the Champions Garage, where no tailgating is allowed at all. Which bridge you cross decides which lot you can reach, so the route matters more here than at most stadiums.

Reached over the West End Bridge and along Reedsdale Street eastbound. Pre-sold lots that open at 8 a.m. on game day, and the group the stadium routes across the West End Bridge rather than through downtown.

Gold Lots 2, 3, 4 and 6, via North Shore Drive
The other pre-sold cluster, approached along North Shore Drive. Same 8 a.m. opening, different road in, and taking the wrong approach means circling the North Shore in game traffic.

The newer parking structure at the stadium. No tailgating is allowed inside it at all, so a space here is somewhere to leave the car and walk.

What Acrisure Stadium allows before the game, and what it does not.
- Tailgating is permitted in the pre-sold lots surrounding the stadium, under Alco Parking's Tailgating Policy rather than a stadium-authored one.
- No tailgating is allowed inside the Champions Garage.
- Reserved, pre-sold parking lots open at 8 a.m. to game day parkers.
- Access to pre-sold Gold Lot 1, Red 5 Garage and Red 7 Lots is via the West End Bridge and Reedsdale Street eastbound; Gold Lots 2, 3, 4 and 6 are reached via North Shore Drive.
- Fan conduct rules (covering unruly or illegal behaviour, intoxication, abusive language and obscene gestures) apply in the parking lots as well as inside the stadium.

Food may enter in a clear plastic bag, and factory-sealed plastic water or soft-drink bottles up to 24 ounces are permitted.
