North Shore Lots Open
Official parking lots and tailgate areas on the North Shore open. The riverside lots begin filling with Steelers faithful firing up grills.
Tailgate Scene Builds
North Shore is alive with black and gold. Stage AE and riverside restaurants are packed with pre-game crowds. Terrible Towels everywhere.
Gates Open
Stadium gates open. Head in early to explore the Great Hall, check out the six Lombardi Trophies display, and grab food before lines build.
Bridge Walk & Warmups
The Roberto Clemente Bridge closes to traffic and fills with fans walking from downtown. Players take the field for warmups.
Find Your Seats
Settle in with your Primanti Brothers sandwich. The Terrible Towel wave is about to begin and you'll want to be ready.
Game Time
68,400 fans wave Terrible Towels in unison as Renegade blasts through the speakers. The 'Here We Go Steelers' chant echoes off the rivers. Pure Pittsburgh.
Exit Strategy
Walk back across the bridges to downtown or wait for the T. Many fans head to North Shore restaurants and bars. Station Square is a popular post-game destination.
Tips & Fan Reports
Go in when gates open and go straight to the seats near the Steelers tunnel in Section 144 first row. You can watch warmups up close. The Strip District has great cheap eats like Lucy's Banh Mi.
Walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge from downtown. Closed to cars on game days and packed with fans. Best pregame walk in the NFL.
Primanti Brothers sandwich - coleslaw, fries, and meat all stacked between thick Italian bread. It is a Pittsburgh institution. Get one before or after the game.
Bring a Terrible Towel. It's not optional. You can buy one at the stadium or any shop in Pittsburgh. Wave it when defense is on the field.
Renegade by Styx plays in the 4th quarter on big defensive stands. The crowd goes absolutely insane. It is maybe the best in-stadium tradition in football.
North Shore parking lots fill up fast. Park across the river downtown and walk the Clemente Bridge. You save money and get a better experience.
