Lumen Field Tailgating
Seattle Seahawks · Seattle, WA
There is no tailgating at Lumen Field. The stadium does not allow it in any on-site parking lot and points fans to the clubs' own sites for alternatives, which in practice means Pioneer Square and the SoDo bars rather than a lot. Most gameday parking is allocated to season ticket holders in any case, so without a pass the stadium's own advice is public transport or one of the nearby garages — Metro, Union Station or the T-Mobile Park garage. The Seattle Streetcar's First Hill Line drops at S Jackson Street and Occidental, three tenths of a mile out, and Pioneer Square station is the recommended approach on foot.
Tips & Fan Reports
Tailgating is not permitted on Lumen Field property itself. Look for private lots along 1st Ave south of Lumen Field, about a 10-minute walk. Or hit a nearby bar that does a pregame special.
The First Hill streetcar stops at S Jackson and Occidental, about a third of a mile from the stadium.
Pioneer Square is the pregame, and Pioneer Square station is the stop the stadium itself points at.
Do not plan a tailgate. Lumen Field permits none on site, and this is one of the NFL venues where the answer is the neighbourhood rather than the lot.
On-site parking is mostly season ticket holders', so budget for a garage or skip driving entirely.
