Getting to MetLife Stadium

MetLife Stadium has a rail station at its front door, but it only opens when the crowd is big enough: NJ TRANSIT runs the Meadowlands line for events expecting more than 50,000. When it runs, most of the regional network connects at Secaucus Junction and the ride in takes about ten minutes. When it does not, the Coach USA 351 from Port Authority is the published alternative.

We used to park and tailgate but switched to taking the NJ Transit shuttle - it's a lot more fun and you don't have to deal with the parking lot exodus after the game.
Trains keep running a couple of hours after the event, so a slow exit is covered.

Most of the regional rail network connects at Secaucus Junction, from which the ride is about 10 minutes; trains start a few hours before kickoff and run for a couple of hours after. Coach USA's 351 Meadowlands Express runs from the Port Authority, starting two and a half hours before the game and continuing about an hour after, dropping at Lot K near the Quest Diagnostics Performance Center by the MetLife Gate. NJ TRANSIT also runs occasional buses between Secaucus Junction and the stadium.

- Uber and Lyft serve MetLife Stadium with a designated pickup/dropoff zone near Lot J. From Midtown Manhattan, expect $40-60 one-way with game-day surge pricing. From Hoboken or Jersey City, $20-35. Post-game wait times can reach 20-30 minutes.
