MetLife Stadium assigns NFL event parking through Gold and Platinum permits that cover different groups of lots. Guests without a prepaid permit can use the named offsite lot at 20 Murray Hill Parkway for $65, with cash or card payment and a shuttle to Lot G. Tailgating is permitted throughout the Sports Complex lots, but grills and other heating devices are prohibited in the covered parking decks.

Buy your parking pass online on Ticketmaster - Gold or Platinum only. Do NOT buy on StubHub, they will sell you a shuttle pass from some bar outside the stadium and you will have to fight for a refund.
We used to park and tailgate but switched to taking the NJ Transit shuttle - it's a lot more fun and you don't have to deal with the parking lot exodus after the game.
Park further from the stadium if you want an easier time leaving. Same price to park in the garage but no tailgating is allowed in the garage and you miss the whole pregame vibe.
Arrange your NFL parking permit before entering the Sports Complex.
For events with anticipated attendance above 50,000, Meadowlands Rail Service reaches the station at the stadium’s front door, with regional connections at Secaucus Junction.
The Meadowlands rail line only runs for events expecting over 50,000. Check before relying on it.
Trains keep running a couple of hours after the event, so a slow exit is covered.
The 351 drops at Lot K, by the Quest Diagnostics Performance Center and the MetLife Gate, not at the main entrance.
Secaucus Junction is the connection point for most of the regional network, about 10 minutes out.
The Coach USA 351 from Port Authority starts 2.5 hours before kickoff and runs about an hour after.

Parking Rules
What the pass covers, what gets turned away, and the lots that run on their own rules.
Your Pass
- On NFL game days, parking permits are required for all vehicles entering the Sports Complex.
- A Gold permit covers Lots B, D, J, K, L, M, P, Deck A and the lots near American Dream. A Platinum permit covers Lots E, F and G.
- A hang tag must be displayed at all times, hung from the rear-view mirror or placed on the dashboard.
- A barcode permit must be printed and displayed on the dashboard at all times.
- A QR code permit is shown on your phone at the lot entrance and does not need printing.
- Without a pre-paid permit, the off-site lot at 20 Murray Hill Parkway, East Rutherford takes cash or card at $65, with a shuttle to and from Lot G.
- The Edison Park Fast lot at Secaucus Junction offers 1,100 park-and-ride spaces.
Bus & Limo Parking
Charter buses have their own lot, and taxis and limousines use a free drop-off strip between two others.

- Taxi and limousine drop-off and pick-up is between Lots D and E.
- There is no charge to access the drop-off and pick-up area.
Getting There
MetLife Stadium has a rail station at its front door, but it only opens when the crowd is big enough: NJ TRANSIT runs the Meadowlands line for events expecting more than 50,000. When it runs, most of the regional network connects at Secaucus Junction and the ride in takes about ten minutes. When it does not, the Coach USA 351 from Port Authority is the published alternative.

- The stadium publishes no highway route or exit on its transportation page, covering rail and bus instead and directing drivers to its parking pages.
- Public Transit
- NJ TRANSIT's Meadowlands Rail Service runs for events with anticipated attendance above 50,000, delivering passengers to the Sports Complex station at the stadium's front door. Most of the regional rail network connects at Secaucus Junction, from which the ride is about 10 minutes; trains start a few hours before kickoff and run for a couple of hours after. Coach USA's 351 Meadowlands Express runs from the Port Authority, starting two and a half hours before the game and continuing about an hour after, dropping at Lot K near the Quest Diagnostics Performance Center by the MetLife Gate. NJ TRANSIT also runs occasional buses between Secaucus Junction and the stadium.
- Rideshare
- Rideshare pickup is in the Rideshare Zone in Lot E, off West Peripheral Road right outside the Verizon Gate, and the driver calls or texts to say which row they are parked in. Rideshare drop-off is on the roadway between Lots D and E, where taxis and limousines also drop off and pick up.
