Getting to Highmark Stadium

Buffalo Bills · Orchard Park, NY

Highmark Stadium publishes its driving guidance entirely by lot — which road you approach on depends on which lot you hold, and the stadium closes roads around itself on game days rather than routing you through them. Abbott Road shuts six hours before kickoff, which is earlier than most fans expect.

Tips & Fan Reports

If at all possible I always recommend driving. Ubering to the game is usually okay but getting one after the game can be a nightmare. People routinely wait hours for Ubers after the game.

Entry is by lot: Blue from Big Tree Road eastbound side, Bronze from Southwestern Boulevard on the west.

NFTA runs Game Day Express buses, but routes and timings are on the NFTA site rather than the stadium's.

Big Tree Road, Route 20A, has directional postgame closures, so the way out is not the way in.

VYT Research

Abbott Road closes six hours before kickoff between Bills Drive and the NFTA Transportation Hub — plan around it rather than through it.

The ingress and egress maps are published separately from the general parking map; all three are worth having before you set off.

Ways In

Driving
Approach is published per lot rather than as one route: the Blue Lot is entered from Big Tree Road from the east, the Bronze Lot from Southwestern Boulevard from the west, and each other lot has its own designated entry. Abbott Road closes to all vehicle traffic six hours before kickoff between Bills Drive and the NFTA Transportation Hub, and Big Tree Road (Route 20A) has postgame closures in specific directions. Check the ingress and egress maps for the lot you hold.
Public Transit
The stadium points fans at the NFTA Game Day Express buses as the alternative to rideshare, and publishes no route numbers, timings or stops of its own — those live on the NFTA's site.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft serve Highmark Stadium. Rideshare and taxi pickup/dropoff is available near the Bus & Limo Lot. Expect surge pricing before and after games. From downtown Buffalo, a one-way ride is typically $25-40 during surge.

Transit

NFTA Metro Game Day Express: "$5 per person, for a one-way trip". Cash (exact change) or the Token Transit app; MetGo and Metro passes are not accepted. The stored $10 was the round trip. Driving entries carry no transit fare by definition
